Explore some of our signature bridge projects here.\nWhat you’ll be challenged to do: During your internship, you will work on a highly functioning team and aid in providing design services for a wide variety of projects. You'll receive guidance, supervision and mentorship by experienced engineers and professionals with your success as the goal. The majority of our interns convert to full-time employees.\nIn this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:\nSupport real client projects by performing structural analysis, including finite element 3D modeling, design, and drafting for transportation structures including bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and sign structures.\nAssist in quantity calculations and contribute to cost estimates.\nAid in the development of construction contract documents and review shop and working drawings.\nCoordinate work activities with other disciplines as directed.\nAssist in reviewing inspection reports and performing bridge load ratings under supervision.\nWhat you'll bring to our firm:\nCurrently enrolled in an ABET-accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structures.\nDemonstrated interest in bridge and structural design and analysis through prior internships or applied academic coursework. \nBasic understanding of bridge design principles.\nFamiliarity with CADD software such as MicroStation/OpenRoads and AutoCAD. \nProficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a design team.\nStrong written and oral communication skills.\nCompensation: The salary range for this role is\n$21.00 - $28.00 per hour.
