Discover some of our signature power and energy projects here.\nWhat you’ll be challenged to do: During your internship, you will work on a highly functioning team and aid in providing design services for a wide variety of projects. You'll receive guidance, supervision and mentorship by experienced engineers and professionals with your success as the goal. The majority of our interns convert to full-time employees.\nIn this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:\nSupport real client projects by assisting in developing substation layout drawings, including plan and elevations, yard layouts, grounding details, and raceway designs for new and existing substations.\nSupport the development of substation one-lines, auxiliary AC/DC power systems, and DC schematics.\nAid in performing basic engineering calculations and preparing reports.\nContribute to wind power calculations and assist in collection station design.\nAssist in preparing equipment specifications for substation components and construction.\nWhat you'll bring to our firm:\nEnrolled in an ABET-accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in Electrical Engineering.\nDemonstrated interest in high voltage power engineering, substation design or renewable energy through prior internships, work experiences, or applied academic coursework.\nFamiliarity with AutoCAD and MicroStation.\nStrong commitment to learning and professional development. \nEffective written and verbal communications skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.\nWhat we prefer you bring:\nFamiliarity with engineering software used in substation design is advantageous.\nCompensation: The salary range for this role is $21.00 - $28.00 per hour.
