This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance in Long Beach, CA.\nWhat you’ll be challenged to do:\nThe Operations Project Coordinator II provides project management, administrative, and accounting support to project teams, particularly for large, complex, and high-risk clients/projects, in collaboration with Project Accounting.\nIn this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:\nPrepares fee proposal templates, draft contracts, and subcontracts for review.\nEnsures projects adhere to contract language and requirements; issues and tracks project amendment documentation and coordinates for review.\nDevelops WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) and Project Authorization forms including budgets and client invoicing requirements. \nMonitors project financials including variance, revenue, budgets, and WIP; responsible for follow up on revenue variance issues; participates in resolving issues.\nPartners with Collections Specialist to aid in project cash flow from clients.\nServes as a liaison between internal staff, suppliers, and clients while communicating effectively on behalf of Project Managers.\nConducts pre-bill reviews with Project Managers as necessary. \nParticipates in monthly project review meetings and collaborates with Business Operations teams.\nAssists Business Operations with analysis of project budget performance.\nPerforms other job-related duties as assigned.\nWhat you will bring to our firm:\nBachelor's degree in related field or 4+ years of relevant experience in project accounting, project controls, proposals, or contracts.\n2+ years of relevant experience in project controls, proposals, or contracts.\nKnowledge or awareness of financial and general accounting, business math, AR, AP, and related processes.\nIndustry terminology knowledge such as client contracts, awards, procurement, overhead, fee types, and multipliers.\nDesire to learn and apply industry key concepts such as effort, revenue, and variance analysis.\nAbility to manage assignments efficiently.\nAbility to prioritize tasks, multitask, and adapt to changing priorities.\nCompensation: $70,000 - $80,000, Salary dependent upon experience and geographic location\nFeatured Benefits:\nHybrid (in-person and remote) work environment.\n\nComprehensive benefits package, including wellness programs, parental leave, and pet insurance, in addition to medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance.\n\nTax-deferred 401(k) savings plan.\n\nCompetitive paid time off (PTO) accrual.\n\nTuition reimbursement for continued education.\n\nCommitment to professional development, access to internal and external training programs, and support of active participation in professional organizations.\n\nIncentive compensation for eligible positions.\n\nAt GFT, a privately held AEC firm, we innovate where transportation, water, power and buildings converge.
