We oversee every construction phase to help ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.\nWhat you’ll be challenged to do:\nWith minimal supervision, provides design and construction management services for several facilities upgrades at the Miami International Airport. Initially performs routine design management, coordinate permits, reviews schedules, and coordinate construction activities.\nIn this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:\nCoordinate the management of design projects.\nExpedite permitting approval with building code officials.\nReviews design, permitting and construction schedules.\nValidates construction estimates.\nProvides support to Miami Dade Aviation Department - Facility Management - as required.\nMonitoring cost control and schedule management.\nEngaging with all stakeholders in a positive manner via verbal and written communication\nCoordinate closely with Client regarding construction activities and job progress especially activities that will interfere with the client’s daily operation\nWorking with the scheduler to develop a thorough and realistic schedule\nReviews all field staff reports such as daily field reports and daily photography of work activities and installation methods.\nEnsures project documentation is being named and filed correctly in construction management software.\nCoordinates schedule and construction activities with 3rd Party Inspectors, Contractors, and Owner staff.\nWorking with field staff to ensure Field Quality Verification and Safety Inspections\nCoordinate closely with Field Staff regarding construction activities, job progress, quality verification, and field oversight.\nProvide updates and report to Client about project status.\nWhat you will bring to our firm:\nBachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or architecture or in a construction related field from an accredited college is preferred\nMinimum of 6 years’ experience in vertical construction projects.\nShall be capable of providing clear, concise written and oral communication.\nEffective communicator who can maintain and foster positive relationships with public agencies, architects, engineers, permits/inspections departments, utility owners, and company employees\nUnderstanding of cost control and schedule management\nResourcefulness, imagination and a passion for challenges\nHigh level of fairness, honesty and integrity\nExperience with construction of residential/multifamily is preferred.\nPE, RA or CGC licenses are not required, but highly recommended.\nCompensation: $35.00 - $45.00 per/hour Salary dependent upon experience and geographic location\nFeatured Benefits:\nComprehensive benefits package including wellness programs, parental leave, and pet insurance, in addition to medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance.\nTax-deferred 401(k) savings plan.\nCompetitive paid-time-off (PTO) accrual.\nTuition reimbursement for continued education.\nCommitment to professional development, access to internal and external training programs, and support of active participation in professional organizations\nIncentive compensation for eligible positions.\nAt GFT, a privately held AEC firm, we innovate where transportation, water, power, and buildings converge.
