Our team of 12,000+ technology experts operate in 20+ countries worldwide offering career opportunities at the forefront of software innovation.\nRole Overview\nAs a Business Analyst at GFT, you will bridge banking stakeholders, regulatory reporting teams, and technical delivery teams to support data platform implementation, data warehouse design, regulatory reporting, and legacy report migration.\nYou will be responsible for analysing source data, defining business and reporting requirements, producing detailed source-to-target mappings, clarifying banking business rules, supporting data governance, and coordinating validation and UAT activities.\nKey Responsibilities\nGather and document business, data, regulatory, and reporting requirements. \nProfile source tables independently using SQL, including row counts, cardinality, null rates, duplicate business keys, and orphan keys. \nAnalyse physical data models and distinguish between normalised transactional structures and dimensional models. \nClarify business decisions related to dimensional modelling, including slowly changing dimensions and Type 2 history requirements. \nUnderstand CDC behaviour and define how inserts, updates, deletes, and late-arriving records should be handled. \nProduce column-level source-to-target mapping documents, including field definitions, transformation rules, calculations, lookup logic, default values, and exception handling. \nWork with source system SMEs to challenge assumptions, identify data gaps, and validate business rules rather than simply documenting existing explanations. \nDefine BI and reporting requirements, including metric definitions, data grain, filters, expected refresh frequency, reconciliation rules, and expected values against legacy reports. \nSupport regulatory reporting analysis, report reconciliation, and migration from legacy reporting environments. \nMaintain business glossaries, data classification matrices, report catalogues, mapping documents, and functional specifications. \nIdentify PII and sensitive data and define requirements for masking, retention, access control, and purpose limitation under applicable privacy regulations. \nCoordinate UAT activities, including test scenarios, expected results, defect clarification, reconciliation, and business sign-off. \nCollaborate with business users, data engineers, data analysts, architects, QA, and project managers throughout delivery. \nRequired Skills & Experience\nStrong Business Analysis experience in data platforms, data warehouses, reporting, or data migration projects. \nPractical SQL skills sufficient to profile and investigate source tables without assistance. \nAbility to read physical data models and understand transactional, normalised, and dimensional structures. \nUnderstanding of facts, dimensions, data grain, slowly changing dimensions, and historical data requirements. \nUnderstanding of CDC concepts and their impact on data processing and reporting. \nExperience producing detailed column-level source-to-target mappings. \nStrong banking domain knowledge across areas such as:Core banking \nDeposits \nLending \nPayments \nGeneral ledger and financial accounting \n\nAbility to challenge source system SMEs and translate banking processes into clear data and reporting requirements. \nData governance knowledge, including PII classification, masking, retention, data lineage, metadata, access control, and purpose limitation under PDPA or similar privacy regulations. \nExperience defining BI requirements, including metrics, calculation logic, grain, filters, refresh expectations, and legacy report reconciliation. \nExperience supporting testing, UAT, defect resolution, and business validation. \nStrong stakeholder management, analytical thinking, communication, and documentation skills. \nFamiliarity with Agile delivery and tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, or Lucidchart. \nEducation and Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Banking, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field. \nMinimum 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Business Analyst, Reporting Business Analyst, or similar role. \nDemonstrated experience in banking data, regulatory reporting, data warehouse, or reporting modernisation projects. \nPreferred Skills\nExperience with banking regulatory or financial reporting. \nFamiliarity with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik, or SSRS. \nExperience in core banking transformation, data migration, or reporting modernisation. \nKnowledge of data quality frameworks, reconciliation controls, audit requirements, and regulatory traceability. \nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive base salary\nA collaborative, diverse, and growth-oriented culture\nDue to the high volume of applications we receive, we are unable to respond to every candidate individually.
