You will build and improve batch and real-time workloads in AWS and assess current systems against the AWS Well-Architected Framework, with particular emphasis on Operational Excellence. You will also recommend and lead improvements that strengthen reliability, scalability and delivery efficiency.\nA day in this role_\nLead the technical planning and delivery of features, proofs of concept, complex systems and cross-functional engineering projects.\nOwn the end-to-end design, operation and continuous improvement of data pipelines using AWS Glue, Amazon S3, AWS Lambda and related services.\nDefine reusable ingestion, transformation, storage and delivery patterns for batch and near-real-time workloads.\nProvision and manage AWS resources with Terraform and other infrastructure-as-code practices.\nMonitor pipeline health, investigate failures, resolve data quality issues and improve logging and alerting.\nDevelop and maintain scalable automation and ETL jobs, focusing on performance, maintainability and data quality.\nDeploy new and existing applications to AWS and support cloud migration using reliable, repeatable release practices.\nDesign, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines that automate build, test, security validation and deployment.\nDesign and develop test automation frameworks for unit and smoke testing.\nAssess systems against the Operational Excellence pillar of the AWS Well-Architected Framework and lead improvements in efficiency, automation, reliability and supportability.\nSupport Backlog Grooming with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, Scrum Team and stakeholders so requirements are properly captured in stories.\nWork with project team members across all phases of the software development life cycle.\nClarify project requirements with the team, own the system architecture and technical design, and guide development of application components.\nPerform design and code reviews for the automotive applications to maintain code quality.\nThe expertise requested_\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field with significant software and computer science coursework.\n10+ years of software development experience, including designing and building high-volume transactional, large-scale distributed and multi-tenant systems with cloud-native technologies.\nExpert in designing and developing microservices at scale using Spring Boot and API gateways.\nDemonstrated experience building and deploying large-scale applications to the cloud.\nDeep understanding of AWS components for compute, storage, containers, security, monitoring, databases, and front-end web & mobile.\nIn-depth knowledge of Jenkins, Bitbucket, Docker, Git, AWS Glue, AWS Step Functions, CloudWatch, Python, EC2, Lambda, S3, Amazon Bedrock and Terraform.\nExperience with databases such as SQL and Redshift.\nAbility to work independently, with remote management and with local/remote teams.\nExcellent understanding of programming concepts, the software development lifecycle and Agile methodology.\nExcellent communication, analytical, troubleshooting and time management skills.\nDemonstrated
