You’ll identify repetitive operational work and replace it with Infrastructure as Code, automated runbooks, and self-service deployment capabilities, making the platform faster to change, cheaper to run, and compliant by design. This role blends cloud infrastructure engineering, DevOps / CI/CD, and FinOps and compliance automation, giving you the opportunity to shape how the platform is built, deployed, governed, and operated.\nA day in this role_\nIdentify repetitive operational tasks and design automation to eliminate manual effort.\nImplement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform across AWS environments.\nAutomate governance and compliance checks across accounts and resources.\nBuild self-service deployment capabilities for engineering and data teams.\nAutomate cost reporting and remediation (e.g., idle resources, rightsizing, scheduling).\nCreate operational dashboards and alerts to improve visibility and incident response.\nImprove CI/CD processes using GitHub (Actions, branching strategies, automated testing and promotion).\nOrchestrate operational workflows with AWS Step Functions, EventBridge, Lambda, and Systems Manager.\nCollaborate with platform, data, and security teams to define standards, guardrails, and best practices.\nTerraform modules and Infrastructure as Code for the platform.\nAutomated operational runbooks.\nCompliance automation.\nCost optimization automation.\n Deployment pipelines (CI/CD).\nThe expertise requested_\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).\n5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering roles.\nStrong expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices (modules, state management, environments).\nHands-on experience with AWS Step Functions, Amazon EventBridge, AWS Systems Manager, and AWS Lambda.\nExperience with GitHub and building CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar).\nWorking knowledge of AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, Amazon Athena, Amazon S3, and Amazon EC2.\nStrong scripting and development skills in Python and SQL.\nExperience implementing monitoring, alerting, and operational dashboards (CloudWatch or similar).\nSolid understanding of Agile, SDLC, and modern engineering best practices.\nDesired or nice to have expertise_\nExperience with AWS Config, Security Hub, or policy-as-code tools (OPA, Sentinel, Checkov).\nExperience with FinOps practices and tools (Cost Explorer, Cost and Usage Reports, budgets).\nFamiliarity with multi-account AWS setups (AWS Organizations, Control Tower).\nExposure to AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor) to accelerate automation.\nAWS certifications (e.g., DevOps Engineer -
