Here are a few things we get asked all the time:\nWhere will I work?\nThis role offers a hybrid schedule giving you the opportunity to work in with clients in their homes in San Mateo County, from our San Mateo office and from the comfort of your own home.\nWhat you’ll Do:\nSupervise assigned staff by providing leadership and enabling staff to efficiently utilize time and resources\nParticipate in the hiring of staff and subsequent training and evaluation of assigned staff\nRepresent administration on internal and community committees and task forces as assigned\nAssist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures\nProvides coaching and monitoring of employee’s performance and conducts an annual performance evaluation for employees\nReview and approve required and/or appropriate documentation to ensure compliance with established standards \nServe as a administrative and supervisory back up to the Manager Regional Center Services\nSupervise/manage social workers involved with the initial and/or continuing social assessments of clients and in overall case planning \nPrepare monthly statistics of intake and referrals\nReview and process all documentation created by each staff member\nPerform Supervisor of Day functions as required by Office\nServe as back up to Social Workers as needed\nParticipate in the Supervisory On-Call rotation on a voluntary basis\nParticipate in special projects, and assist with additional duties or tasks, as assigned\nMaintain all client information as confidential in compliance with the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and the California Lanterman Act\nPerforms other duties and responsibilities as assigned.\nRequirements\nWho you are:\nExperience in multi-cultural settings and/or multi-lingual capacity\nDemonstrated knowledge of agency policy and procedures\nTraining and facilitation \nInterview techniques to ensure person centered planning\nStrong managerial skills\nKnowledge of principles, objectives and techniques of counseling individuals\nKnowledge of normal and abnormal individual and group behavior, human growth and development of family relationships\nKnowledge of community structure and organization and how to intervene constructively on client’s behalf\nAbility to maintain case records in a clear and concise manner\nWritten communication: ability to develop standard business communications, using proper grammar, spelling and punctuation\nOral communication: ability to convey complex information and ideas in a clear, concise and professional manner\nAbility to operate basic office equipment\nBasic familiarity with MS Word®, MS Excel®, MS PowerPoint®, MS Outlook® or similar software applications\nEducation:\nBachelor's Degree in Social Work or related human services field required.
