GHD is looking for a Construction Engineer with proven on time and budget delivery capabilities. You will provide GHD’s construction phase support services to new and existing clients on multiple simultaneous projects with a construction value of up to $10M each. Join us in the office three days a week to contribute, connect and excel in our vibrant environment.\nResponsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:\nProviding construction management and office engineering support for our water projects (i.e. pumping stations, pipelines, treatment facilities, etc.), transportation projects (roads, trails, traffic improvements), as well as coastal, environmental, energy projects throughout the region. In addition to supporting during construction phase, contributions will include involvement in the planning, permitting, design, and procurement.\nCollaborate and support project oversight by maintaining communications between project teams, clients and contractors to deliver projects safely, on time, at or under budget, and to the client’s expected standard of quality\nSupport strong client relationships\nCoordinate input concerning constructability and biddability during design and develop project construction schedules and estimates based on risk evaluation, and coordinate advice on delivery method\nSupport the development, review, and tracking of contract documents and status reports relative to schedule, cost, and staffing and other related construction contract requirements\nSupport the oversight of contractor’s compliance with project permits, design specifications, and drawings\nCoordinate pay estimates; coordinate appropriate recommendations to client on payment issues\nCollaborate with Program Management Office, manage document control including processing project correspondence, documents, and drawings; preparation of various technical reports\nCoordinate appropriate responses and/or recommendations on construction issues; consult with construction management and engineering staff on technical matters\nSupport the review, documentation, and negotiation of Construction Change Documents, Change Orders and dispute resolution on behalf of the client and coordinating with the Construction Manager and Design Engineer, as required\nConduct and coordinate project closeout activities\nSupport the coordination of equipment and process startup, testing, and optimization\nSupport management of the financial performance of our consulting services contract, including invoicing, budget tracking, progress reporting, and change management\nEducation:\nBachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or equivalent combination of education and management experience\nWhat you will bring to the team:\n Minimum 3 years of experience in construction-related field experience\nCurrent Engineer-In-Training (EIT) preferred\nExperience with web-based document management systems and MS Office Suite\nTake on some of the world’s toughest challenges - with everyone at GHD backing you every step of the way.\nWe'll give you control over your career, empower you to find innovative solutions and help you create a lasting impact.\nSee where your commitment could take you with GHD.\nEEO Statement US: As a multicultural organization, we encourage individual achievement and recognize the strength of a diverse workforce.
