Join us in the office three days a week to contribute, connect and excel in our vibrant environment.\nWorking with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:\nServe as a field lead for ecological surveys, including wetland delineations and habitat assessments for rare, threatened or endangered flora and fauna\nSupport the collection of biological, chemical, and ecological data to inform environmental assessments and/or to support risk assessment projects\nSupport reclamation and ecological restoration activities, including vegetation management, revegetation, erosion/soil stabilization, invasive species control, and associated field monitoring. \nAssist with preparation and implementation of reclamation/restoration plans and regulatory deliverables, coordinating with permitting, biology, and engineering teams to support successful project delivery.\nPrepare technical reports and permit applications for federal, state, and local agencies\nCollaborate with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with environmental regulations\nApply your field expertise to support permitting efforts for a range of industries, including energy (pipelines, facilities, renewables), transportation, water infrastructure, land development, and manufacturing. \nContribute to a multidisciplinary team by sharing field insights and supporting junior staff development\nSupport existing GHD clients with the implementation of efficient and innovative solutions to address their project needs\nPotential cross-disciplinary support for other environmental service lines such as EHS compliance, emergency response, and contamination assessment & remediation\nWhat you’ll bring to the team:\nApproximately three to five (4-6) years of experience in environmental consulting, or similar experience\nBachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Biology, Ecology or related field\nProfessional certification such as a Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS), Certified Wildlife Biologist (CWB), Certified Environmental Professional (CEP), or qualifications/willingness to obtain such certifications preferred\nExpertise with local, state and federal environmental regulations and permitting requirements; particularly those associated with USACE Section 10/404, USFWS, CPW, CDPHE, CO DRMS, and others.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both within a team and independently\nExcellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment\nAble and willing to travel to job sites as needed for field activities\nBenefits:\n401K - Employees are eligible to participate on the first day of the month following 3 months of service\n\nPaid time off - Our PTO benefit is designed to provide eligible employees with a period of rest and relaxation, sick, and personal time throughout the year. PTO starts at 16 days per year and increases with years of service\n\nHoliday Pay - Holiday pay is provided for eligible employees. GHD observes 9 holidays per year.
