This role is a “hands on” field position supporting environmental assessment, remediation, and monitoring projects.\nBe part of the dynamic culture! Join us in office, three days a week to contribute, connect and excel in our vibrant environment.\nWorking with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:\nResponsibilities\nSupport environmental field programs related to contamination assessment, remediation, and monitoring projects\n\nAssist with soil, groundwater, surface water, and vapour sampling in accordance with project requirements and applicable standards\n\nInspection, maintenance, and gauging of environmental groundwater wells\n\nEnsure work is completed in a safe and compliant manner with respect to applicable GHD, client, and regulatory standards\n\nGenerate quality field notes and enter collected field data electronically into database programs\n\nPerform site inspections and field observations with attention to detail in GHD’s operational areas\n\nSupport operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, oversight, and repairs of remedial equipment including groundwater recovery wells, groundwater treatment units, and associated physical and mechanical components\n\nAssist with groundwater treatment systems, including pumps, filters, and related equipment, to support optimal performance\n\nMaintain accurate records of field activities, system operations, and maintenance activities\n\nProvide health and safety/construction oversight support for contractors, as required\n\nWork directly with project team members, clients, and contractors\n\nHealth, Safety, and Environment: Follow the organization's health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate risks and to safeguard the environment and the well-being of self and others.\n\nExperiences and Requirements:\nAbility to perform field work in a safe, efficient, and professional manner\n\nAbility to communicate across diverse occupational roles\n\nCommitment to safety applying a behavior-based safety culture in all aspects of the job\n\nStrong mechanical, technical, and computer proficiency\n\nPhysically capable of working in non-ideal conditions, such as hot/cold temperatures, wet weather, outside, and around equipment and traversing rough terrains\n\nAbility to be a self-starter, proactive, flexible, great teammate, willing and able to work on a wide variety of tasks with minimal direction\n\nAbility to collect, review, and organize field readings, data, and operating parameters to support project delivery\n\nEducation\nGraduate of an environmental, engineering technology, science, or related program\n\nWhat you will bring to the Team:\n0-2 years of previous field, environmental, construction, or related work experience\n\nPrevious experience with environmental sampling, field inspections, or remediation work is considered an asset\n\nMust have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record\n\nExperience working outdoors and supporting field programs is considered an asset\n\nTake on some of the world’s toughest challenges - with everyone at GHD backing you every step of the way.\nWe'll give you control over your career, empower you to find innovative solutions and help you create a lasting impact.\nSee where your commitment could take you with GHD.\nAs a multicultural organization, we encourage individual achievement and recognize the strength of a diverse workforce.
