This is an exciting opportunity to work on the delivery of complex building services projects, provide technical leadership within and across multidisciplinary teams, and help shape the future of the built environment throughout New Zealand.\nAuckland is preferred, however we're open to candidates in other locations where GHD has an office.\nWorking alongside industry-leading professionals, you will play a key role in delivering innovative and sustainable engineering solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects, including healthcare, education, defence, justice, commercial, infrastructure, transport and public sector developments.\nThe role:\nLead the design, technical delivery and verification of mechanical building services solutions across a variety of complex projects.\nManage and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients.\nDevelop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for repeat and new business.\nProvide technical leadership and guidance throughout project lifecycles, from concept design through to construction and commissioning.\nCollaborate with other Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, Fire, Structural, Civil and specialist engineering disciplines.\nSupport project planning, resourcing, risk management, quality assurance and commercial performance.\nMentor and develop junior and intermediate engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.\nContribute to business development activities, proposals and strategic client engagement.\nEnsure compliance with relevant New Zealand standards, codes and regulatory requirements.\nPromote sustainable and innovative engineering solutions that deliver long-term value for clients and communities.\nParticipate in construction monitoring, stakeholder engagement and technical reviews as required.\nAbout you:\nRelevant tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.\nChartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status, or ability to obtain CPEng in New Zealand.\nMinimum of 10+ years' experience in mechanical building services engineering within a consulting environment. \nProven experience leading the design and delivery of complex building services projects.\nStrong technical expertise in HVAC, mechanical services systems and integrated building services design.\nDemonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.\nStrong understanding of New Zealand building regulations, standards and compliance requirements.\nExcellent client relationship management and business development skills.\nOutstanding communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities.\nPassion for mentoring and developing high-performing teams.\nA collaborative mindset, strong commercial awareness and commitment to delivering exceptional client outcomes.\nClick ‘Apply’ to submit your CV.\nOur Hybrid Work Model:\nBe part of the dynamic culture!
