We offer an opportunity to be part of a growing and dynamic employee-owned company, in a professional working environment that is of the highest quality and customer-focused.\nThe successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:\nLead in the execution and delivery of existing and new projects in a design build environment to advance design packages by providing value added design solutions in conformance with operator requirements and client/end user/project output specifications.\nServe as a technical expert in the structural design, including buildings, retaining walls, heavy foundations, pre-cast concrete structures and structural steel structures.\nDemonstrate extensive experience in structural design.\nEnsure timely completion of project deliverables and able to manage several projects at once and determine priorities, including sound judgment and decisiveness.\nProduce engineering drawings and details from conception to final design, according to established standards and procedures for a wide variety of steel and concrete structures.\nSupervise CAD staff junior and support staff, prepare construction specifications tender and contract packages, and conduct site inspections of existing structures as well as those under construction.\nCommunicate and work with other project team members to provide quality service to clients to ensure that all documentation conforms to client/company standards.\nPrepare effective proposals seeking targeted project opportunities.\nWhat you’ll bring to the team:\nBachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.\nLicensed Professional Engineer.\n15+ years of diverse structural engineering experience.\nProject Management experience demonstrating effective and practical project management skills.\nConversant with National Building Code - NBC and provincial building codes, CSA codes, AREMA, CHBDC.\nWorking knowledge of various municipal and technical specifications and standards.\nAbility to take ownership and accountability for work being completed.\nStrong influencing skills and the ability to develop effective and trustworthy relationships both with clients and within the organization.\nStrong problem solving and decision-making abilities.\nStrong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).\nExcellent report and proposal writing skills.\nPositive attitude, good communication and interpersonal skills.\nThe use of artificial intelligence (AI) in recruiting is just getting started and may be used during the process to improve efficiency and fairness.
