If you are a self-motivated professional with excellent technical skills, federal/state/local environmental regulatory knowledge, and existing relationships with clients, prospects, and regulators then this is a great opportunity to explore!\nWorking with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:\nUsing knowledge of various engineering and scientific disciplines, you may collect, synthesize, study, report, and recommend action based on data derived from measurements or observations of air, soil, water, waste and other sources. Work may include regulatory interpretation, site investigation, site remediation, environmental compliance and/or waste treatment/management.\nResponsibilities of the position will be but are not limited to:\nProvide technical and project management services to our existing and future clients on a variety of projects\n\nPrepare technical correspondence, project proposals, technical reports, work plans, and project specifications including cost estimates and budgets\n\nConduct environmental sampling and monitoring for various media and contaminants of concern by following established procedures\n\nBe available for occasional after-hours response to environmental emergencies to perform field tasks.\n\nComplex problem solving as it relates to environmental remediation and economic decision making\n\nData compilation, reduction, interpretation, evaluation/comparison to environmental regulatory standards\n\nClient engagement approach and stewardship\n\nInteract with internal and external clients, regulatory agencies, contractors and service providers\n\nBalancing the triangle of scope, schedule, and budget to produce the best results possible for our clients\n\nParticipate in a proactive safety culture of continuous improvement\n\nA commitment to behavior-based safety\n\nFor Success in this position, you will possess the following skills and qualifications:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Applied Science (Engineering, Geology, or Science)\n\n5-10 years’ experience including a mix of field activities (sampling/oversight), data evaluation and interpretation and technical report writing\n\nProfessional Designation/License (Engineer, Geologist, etc.) a plus\n\nSelf-starter, detail oriented, and willingness to work in a team in a fast-paced environment.\n\nAbility to travel for short durations which may include overnight travel\n\nBe available for occasional after-hours response to environmental emergencies to perform field tasks\n\nExperience preparing detailed regulatory work plans and reports for investigation, remediation, and closure.\n\nUnderstanding of multimedia remedial technologies for addressing a variety of environmental contaminants including VOCs, SVOCs, metals, PCBs and PFAS.\n\nWorking knowledge of the operation and maintenance of remediation systems, with good general mechanical aptitude\n\nExperience in coordinating and simultaneously managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail in a consulting environment.\n\nWorking knowledge of methods and procedures for site characterization, hydrogeologic analysis and remediation of contaminants in soil, soil vapor, indoor air and groundwater.\n\nConduct research, collect and analyze data to prepare reports and documents\n\nCritical thinking and problem solving - ability to identify multiple solutions to a problem\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\n\nPositive attitude, very strong interpersonal skills\n\nInterested in continuing professional development\n\nOSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification\n\nPractice and maintain solid safety minded behavior and practices.\n\nValid driver's license\n\nOutside of the experience you’ll gain working within your team, GHD offers a wide variety of training and mentoring programs to develop technical and management skills.\nIf you are passionate about pursuing this position, please submit your resume and cover letter via the link below.\nWe offer a professional, yet welcoming, culture based on our core values of Teamwork, Respect, Safety, and Integrity.
