In this role you will manage the design and documentation of a variety of transport infrastructure projects across the public and private sectors, supporting an extensive regional client portfolio. It is an opportunity to enjoy more space, strong community connections and outdoor experiences, while continuing to grow your career with a global professional services organisation.\nWorking with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you:\nEstablish and maintain client relationships, identify new project opportunities and win work.\nProject manage and be technically responsible for large, high-quality planning and design projects ($2M+ design fee), including multi-disciplinary coordination.\nDevelop local junior engineers and design personnel.\nGround truth designs throughout regional Queensland’s extensive remote road network.\nProvide technical expertise to clients and support projects through other offices as required.\nContribute to the development of GHD's knowledge and skills in civil and transport engineering including planning, design, and construction.\nWhat you will bring to the team\nBachelor of Engineering (Civil).\n10-15 years' experience.\nExperience and motivation for establishing client relationships and supporting winning work.\nExcellent project management skills and ability and willingness to mentor junior engineers.\nChartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) & Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) (Preferred or working towards)\nDemonstrated experience in project and design management of small to medium sized planning and design projects for the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) and or other state/territory government agencies (Preferred)\nA passion for high-quality design documentation, assessment and analysis of technical data and imparting knowledge, skills, and experience through the provision of professional development in others.\nKnowledge of flood modelling, geotechnical analysis, pavement design and an ability to integrate into transport related projects preferred.\nStrong communication skills both oral and written (including report writing).\nDemonstrated professional judgement and commercial acumen, including identifying, assessing, evaluating, and solving problems to brief and budget.\nThe capability to produce concise and accurate reports, technical specifications, design calculations, briefs and mark-ups.\nExperience and a sound understanding of current civil engineering technologies, including design, modelling, and construction.\nInterested?
