Be a part of this dynamic and committed team of diverse water specialists and drive change for your community.\nYou’ll be able to apply our powerful global network of skills and decades of experience to create positive water outcomes that respect nature and nurture communities.\nWho are we looking for?\nWe’re looking for a skilled Surface Water Engineer with a strong working knowledge of GoldSim and a passion for water resources to join our NSW/ACT team in Sydney, Canberra, Newcastle, Wollongong or any of our regional NSW offices.\nYou will collaborate with specialists across water, dams, tailings, mining, environmental and digital disciplines and make an impact on complex Mine Water Management and Water Balance Modelling projects across Australia.\nYou’ll join a great company culture with strong supportive relationships, and benefit from the career development, mentorship and growth opportunities that our team can provide.\nWorking with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:\nDeveloping and applying GoldSim water balance models for mine water management studies, operational assessments and strategic water planning.\nWorking closely with multidisciplinary teams across mining, dams, tailings, hydrology and environmental services, analysing complex water systems and evaluating risks\nDelivering on multidisciplinary projects and tasks, maintaining strong client relationships, coordinating with stakeholders to deliver project outcomes\nContributing to proposals, business development activities and the continued growth of GHD's surface water capability.\nConducting technical reviews and mentoring junior staff, providing guidance and feedback to help them develop their skills\nWhat you will bring to the team\nDegree qualifications in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering or a related discipline.\nBetween 5 &12 years of experience in a similar role in a consulting environment.\nExperience in surface water engineering, mine water management or water resources consulting.\nStrong working knowledge of GoldSim, including development and application of water balance models.\nUnderstanding of mine water management practices, regulatory requirements and industry standards.\nStrong client relationship skills and project management skills in water resources projects\nInterested?
