This role can be based out of any of our GTA offices in Toronto, Mississauga, Markham, Whitby.\nThe Transportation group within GHD Canada works with provincial, regional, and local municipal transportation agencies on large-scale projects across the whole transportation spectrum of roadways, bridges, active travel, traffic engineering, and transportation planning. Transportation planning comprises numerous specialized disciplines, from traffic calming to complete streets, which collectively support larger planning and design projects. These disciplines form the core of larger transportation planning or transportation design projects. Every transportation project we undertake requires some level of traffic engineering and transportation planning expertise, whether a large-scale traffic study or an intersection upgrade.\nBe part of the dynamic culture! Join us in the office three days a week to contribute, connect, and excel in our vibrant environment.\nWorking with an energetic and high-performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: \nHave the ability to lead and deliver multidisciplinary projects (within Transportation Planning)\n\nHave demonstrable experience in people/team management\n\nContribute to the development of junior staff\nCoordinate work from different disciplines (municipal, structural, technical support staff, etc.)\nPrepare stakeholder consultation material\nDevelop client relationships and new business opportunities\nUndertake research and analysis of land use, demographic, and travel data\nAssist with the preparation and analysis of travel forecasts\nDevelop and assess alternative road improvements\nDevelop preliminary road designs, prepare technical memos, reports, and graphics\nIncorporate transit, pedestrian, transportation demand management strategies, and active transportation into studies\nProvide traffic engineering services for Environmental Assessments, Preliminary and Detail roadway projects\nReview and support intersection operations analysis\nReview and complete microsimulation analysis\nWhat will you bring to the team:\nA degree in Civil Engineering with 8-12 years of experience in transportation\nLicensed Professional Engineer in Ontario (P.ENG)\nSolid understanding of relevant transportation planning and traffic engineering policies and design standards in Ontario\nExperience with safety audits and collision analysis\nExtensive knowledge and understanding of traffic operational assessment. Experience with transportation software such as Synchro, Sidra, Vissim, Aimsun and/or other traffic software will be an asset.\nExtensive knowledge and understanding of transportation planning. Experience with macro modelling software will be an asset\nProficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint\nStrong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (both verbal and written)\nExcellent report and proposal writing skills\nPositive attitude, good communication, and interpersonal skills\nPerforms well independently as well as in a team environment\nValid Driver’s license\nThe hourly rate range for this position is $87,570K - $133,570K\nThe posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for GHD locations in its major city centres.
