This is a hands-on leadership role with direct exposure to the CFO and senior management, overseeing day-to-day accounting operations while supporting the financial performance of active construction projects.\nThe ideal candidate brings a strong construction accounting background, including WIP, job costing, progress billing, change orders, and project financial reporting, along with experience leading an accounting team.\nWhat You’ll Do\nOversee day-to-day accounting operations and accounting personnel\n\nManage the general ledger and support the monthly close process\n\nPrepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements\n\nOversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, collections, and payroll\n\nPrepare cash management reports, monitor cash flow, and identify potential financial concerns\n\nPartner with Project Managers and department leaders to review project financial performance\n\nTrack and analyze WIP, job costs, project budgets, and construction-related variances\n\nSupport progress billing and change-order accounting\n\nMaintain accurate financial records and effective internal controls\n\nPrepare monthly financial and operational reporting for management\n\nAssist with budgeting, financial analysis, compliance, insurance reporting, and other special projects\n\nHelp maintain and optimize Sage and other construction-related accounting systems\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field\n\n8+ years of accounting experience\n\n3+ years of accounting management experience\n\n3+ years of construction accounting experience required\n\nStrong understanding of WIP and job costing\n\nExperience with progress billing, change orders, and project budgets\n\nStrong month-end close, GL, reconciliation, and financial reporting experience\n\nExperience overseeing AP, AR, payroll, and cash management\n\nStrong Excel skills\n\nSage construction accounting software experience is highly preferred\n\nStrong communication, problem-solving, and organizational
