Its capabilities include manufacturing, delivery, installation, and specialized field services.\nThe Opportunity\nOlson Precast is seeking an experienced Controller to lead its accounting operations and serve as a trusted financial partner to company leadership. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys taking ownership, developing teams, and making a meaningful impact within a well-established, close-knit organization.\nThe Controller will oversee day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, inventory, AP/AR, and month-end close while managing a lean accounting team. The role also includes oversight of certain HR and compliance functions, offering broad exposure to business operations and opportunities to improve systems and processes.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and collections.\n\nOversee month-end and year-end close, financial statements, reconciliations, and management reporting in accordance with GAAP.\n\nManage inventory accounting, including production activity, raw materials, and finished goods.\n\nOversee cash management, banking activities, and working capital.\n\nSupport budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, pricing, and capital investment decisions.\n\nSupervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff while remaining actively involved in daily accounting activities.\n\nOversee HR-related responsibilities, including benefits administration, HRIS, timekeeping, employee documentation, and compliance reporting.\n\nMaintain strong internal controls and coordinate tax and audit requirements with external advisors.\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve financial systems, reporting, and operational efficiency.\n\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.\n\n5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including strong general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting expertise.\n\nPrevious experience supervising or leading accounting staff.\n\nManufacturing, inventory-based, or operationally complex accounting experience preferred.\n\nStrong understanding of inventory accounting and how production activities affect financial reporting.\n\nProficiency with Microsoft 365 and accounting systems;
