GHJ's office in Los Angeles, CA is currently seeking an Advisory - Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) Intern for the Summer of 2027. You will experience client transaction work, collaborate with the TAS team and dive deep into client assignments and projects during the internship.
Internship Length:
The full-time internship will be from Monday, June 14, 2027 - Friday, August 13, 2027. Note: GHJ will be closed for Wellness Week. Interns will not be working during this time, but will still be paid.
Pay Rate:
Interns will be paid at a rate of $33/hour. Benefits are not included.
Common Transaction Advisory Services Intern Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in client discussions and projects
- Perform research and analysis for Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) engagements
- Assist with the creation of analyses, schedules, reports and deliverables for Transaction Advisory Clients.
- Develop real work application of technical competencies
- Work with team members to identify business challenges and accounting matters, recalculate client’s earnings based upon findings and provide offer commentary to support conclusions
Ask probing questions with a view to learning and growing your understanding of practical accounting matters and common challenges/findings within a M&A engagement.
Work with client provided data to prepare analyses and schedules that support the client’s earnings and growth trajectory, and/or identify adjustments as the client prepares for an M&A transaction.
- Work with offshore teams to share client data and provide guidance on analytical tasks, timing and outputs to support the overall engagement

General Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Accounting (required for TAS) or a related field graduating between May 2028 - August 2028
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Demonstrate curiosity to learn, grow and gain experience in the practical application of accounting matters and M&A transactions
- Competent working with data, especially large data and/or where the data may be incomplete, to identify trends and draw conclusions
- Excellent customer service skills (internal and external)
- Creative problem solving and research skills
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently
- Highly motivated and interested in taking the initiative for personal growth and development
- Able to handle multiple priorities, tasks and simultaneous projects
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Openness to travel to client locations with colleagues, which may include occasional overnight stays
