The Senior Accountant will play an important role in month-end close, general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, AP/AR, tax compliance, financial reporting, and process improvement.\nThe organization offers a stable, collaborative environment with significant opportunity for professional growth.\nWhat You'll Do:\nPerform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations\nReconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies\nSupport and review Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities\nAssist with sales/use tax and property tax reporting and reconciliations\nMaintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and related reconciliations\nSupport financial reporting, variance analysis, and management reporting\nAssist with inventory accounting, including inventory reconciliations, cycle/physical counts, and related analysis\nPartner with operations and other departments to resolve accounting issues and improve reporting accuracy\nSupport external audits and provide schedules and supporting documentation\nIdentify opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve accounting processes\nAssist with ERP enhancements and other accounting projects\nWhat We're Looking For:\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field\nApproximately 5+ years of progressive corporate accounting experience\nStrong hands-on experience with month-end close, general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations\nExperience working with AP and AR\nStrong understanding of U.S. GAAP\nStrong Excel skills\nDetail-oriented with the ability to investigate discrepancies and independently solve accounting issues\nComfortable working in a hands-on, deadline-driven accounting environment\nHighly Preferred:\nExperience within manufacturing, distribution, consumer products, inventory, or another product-based environment\nSales/use tax and/or property tax experience\nInventory or cost accounting exposure\nERP experience, particularly JDE or Oracle\nExperience improving or automating accounting processes\nCPA or prior public accounting experience\nMulti-currency or international accounting
