In this role, you'll operate powered industrial equipment, manage aluminum materials, and supply our casting presses with the molten aluminum they need to produce quality die-cast products.\nThis is an important hands-on role in our manufacturing process—and a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with equipment, staying active, and being part of a team.\n\nWhat You'll Do\nOperate a forklift and other powered industrial equipment to move aluminum, scrap, and materials throughout the operation.\nMonitor and maintain proper metal temperatures in remelt and holding furnaces.\nAdd the appropriate amounts of scrap metal and ingots to furnaces.\nPerform fluxing, skimming, and de-gassing procedures to maintain aluminum quality.\nSafely transport molten aluminum to holding furnaces at casting presses.\nCollect and transport scrap metal from trim presses to the remelt furnaces for reuse.\nMaintain an adequate supply of aluminum to support casting operations.\nMaintain and organize raw materials using the FIFO system.\nMonitor furnace and press temperature alarms and take appropriate action when needed.\nFollow all safety, environmental, health, and quality requirements, including required PPE.\nMaintain regular and punctual attendance and work overtime when assigned.\nPerform other duties as assigned by management.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nHigh school diploma or GED.\nAt least 6 months of manufacturing experience using powered industrial equipment, such as a forklift.\nCurrent Gibbs powered industrial equipment license or willingness to obtain one.\nAbility to work safely in a hot manufacturing environment around furnaces and equipment.\nAbility to meet the physical and environmental requirements of the position.\nStrong commitment to safety, quality, and dependable attendance.\n\nWhat Makes This Opportunity Worth Considering\nCompetitive Pay: $20–$22 per hour Consistent 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM–7:00 AM Hands-On Manufacturing: Operate equipment and play a direct role in the production process Skilled Work: Build experience in furnace operations, material handling, and powered industrial equipment Team Environment: Help keep production moving and support the success of the entire operation\n\nReady to Join Gibbs?\nIf you're an experienced forklift operator who wants a hands-on manufacturing position with competitive pay and a consistent second shift, we'd like to hear from you.\nApply today for the Remelt & Forklift Operator position at Gibbs Die Casting Corporation.\nApplicants must be authorized to work for an employer in the United States.
