We are now looking for a talented Billing Assistant to join our expanding London Finance team.\nThe successful candidate will be a key part of the billing team looking after both the London and Brussels office. Candidates must have the ability to communicate persuasively and concisely and be able to work both independently and as part of a highly collaborative team.\nThe role will report to the London Finance Manager and work closely with the London billing team in collaborating with secretaries, attorneys, and partners in order to ensure prompt, and accurate billing of clients.\nResponsibilities include:\nBilling\nSupporting the production of pre-bills for London, and other Gibson Dunn offices, where needed at the beginning of each month and upon request\nReview and edit pre-bills in response to partner requests\nEnsure accurate billing in a timely manner\nRespond promptly to all billing related queries\nObtaining an understanding of the various matters that GDC work on to ensure prompt billing cycles\nPrepare disbursement back-up documentation in-line with client requirements\nEnsure daily tasks are completed in a timely manner in accordance with relevant SRA and HMRC legislation\nMonitor group mailboxes ensuring prompt and accurate responses to both internal and external billing or financial queries\nTake ownership and follow up on outstanding tasks/items as needed ensuring bills are sent and properly recorded.\nEnsure relevant approval has been obtained for any special rates/agreed discounts\nProduction and accurate submission of invoices that are e-Billed\nFlexibility to work evenings and weekends, based on department needs as required\nOther duties, as assigned.\n\nSkills, knowledge and experience required:\n\n Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written\nStrong analytical skills\nDetail-oriented in all tasks, including excellent proof-reading and research skills\nStrong time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines\nAbility to develop strong internal and external relationships, including ability to work effectively with people at all levels\nStrong customer service ethic\nAbility to multitask and prioritize responsibilities\nExcellent judgment and decision-making skills\n\nEducation & Experience:\n\n This position is open to entry level candidates however Law firm, Finance, or professional services\nexperience is advantageous.\nGibson Dunn will consider for employment qualified Applicants with Criminal Histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of local law.\n______\nFor technical difficulties with our online application, please contact us at .
