The firm’s work is distinguished by a unique combination of precision and vision.\nThe firm has recently expanded its global network of 21 offices, including new offices in Abu Dhabi and Riyadh and we are now looking for a talented Billing Specialist to join the London Finance team.\nThe successful candidate will report to the London Finance Manager and will be an integral part of the billing team.\nResponsibilities include:\nProduce pre-bills for London and other Gibson Dunn offices where needed at the beginning of each month and upon request\nReview and edit pre-bills in response to partner requests\nEnsure execution of complex and accurate billing in a timely manner\nRespond promptly to all billing related queries and when required, meet with partners to discuss billing\nPrepare disbursement back-up documentation in-line with client requirements\nEnsure daily tasks are completed in a timely manner in accordance with relevant SRA and HMRC legislation\nMonitor and proactively self-allocate work from group mailboxes ensuring prompt and accurate responses to both internal and external billing or financial queries\nTake ownership and follow up on outstanding tasks/items as needed ensuring bills are sent and properly recorded.\nEnsure relevant approval has been obtained for any special rates/agreed discounts\nObtain an understanding of the various matters that GDC work on to ensure prompt billing cycles; including chasing partners/fee earners regarding WIP to ensure tight billing deadlines are met\nWork with the Intake and Compliance teams to ensure all KYC/CDD is completed and up-to-date\nProduction and accurate submission of invoices that are e-Billed\nRegularly assisting the Accounts team in other areas within the accounting and finance function\nAssist with reconciliation reports\nFlexibility to work evenings and weekends, based on department needs as required\nOther duties, as assigned.\nQualifications:\nWorking knowledge of CMS Aderant is an advantage\nExperience working with suit of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)\nStrong communication skills, both verbal and written\nStrong analytical skills\nDetail-oriented in all tasks, including excellent proof-reading and research skills\nStrong time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines\nAbility to develop strong internal and external relationships, including ability to work effectively with people at all levels\nStrong customer service ethic\nAbility to multitask and prioritize responsibilities\nExcellent judgment and decision-making skills\nEducation & Experience:\nIdeally 1-3 years professional experience in a similar finance position.\nLaw firm or professional services experience is preferred.\nGibson Dunn will consider for employment qualified Applicants with Criminal Histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of local law.\n______\nFor technical difficulties with our online application, please contact us at .
