The role works closely with Firm attorneys, other New Matters Intake Clerks, Conflicts Clerks, Analysts, and the Intake/Conflicts Manager, as well as other members of the New Business Intake Department.\nThe position requires acute attention to detail and accuracy, as well as organizational and research capabilities. This position is responsible for upholding the standards of quality, consistency, accuracy, thoroughness, and customer service as defined and implemented by the Department.\nThis position reports to the Sr. Manager, Intake/Conflicts.\nResponsibilities include:\nReviewing and processing new client and matter intake documents.\nReviewing and inputting client and matter information into the client/matter database.\nReviewing and processing client/matter updates, including but not limited to matter closures, reactivations, add party requests, and relationship partner updates.\nConducting research on new intake requests against the Firm’s conflicts database and other resources.\nPerforming data entry, searching, and analysis of new matter data in the new matter intake systems in accordance with Firm policies and procedures.\nFollowing up on conflicts issues with partners, the Intake/Conflicts Manager, the Office of General Counsel, and other Firm personnel as necessary.\nPerforming data analysis and identifying possible issues, and notifying the requesting attorney or other appropriate party as needed.\nPerforming heavy data entry and other tasks as assigned.\nQualifications:\nAbility to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.\nExcellent oral and written communication skills.\nExceptional attention to detail and organization, with strong follow-through skills.\nAbility to juggle and prioritize multiple projects.\nAbility to follow instructions and adhere to established procedures.\nFlexibility to adjust to changing circumstances and new information.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nAbility to maintain strict confidentiality.\nAvailability to work overtime, as well as weekends and holidays, as needed.\nExperience:\n1-2 years of legal conflicts experience in a large law firm preferred.\nStudies in areas directly applicable to the duties described above (e.g. records, paralegal, or legal assistant studies) desirable but not required depending upon other professional and educational experience.\nKnowledge of, and experience using, Intapp and CMS/Aderant a plus.\nGibson Dunn will consider for employment qualified Applicants with Criminal Histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of local law.\n______\nFor technical difficulties with our online application, please contact us at .
