The firm's work is distinguished by a unique combination of precision and vision.\nBased in Palo Alto, the Litigation Paralegal will assist our attorneys with a wide variety of tasks and projects.\nThis role reports to the Associate Director of Paralegal Services and the Manager, Paralegal Services.\nResponsibilities include:\nAssist Attorneys in all phases of litigation from case initiation through trial.\nAssist with calendaring case deadlines.\nAssist with and draft court filings and preparations in Federal and State courts.\nAssist with discovery, document collection, organization, review, and productions.\nProofread, cite check and blue book court briefs and discovery documents.\nAssist with deposition, meeting, or interview preparations.\nAssist with all aspects, including travel, of trial and arbitration preparations.\nPrepare various charts and indices.\nCoordinate with external vendors.\nPerform various day-to-day case management tasks.\nMentor and provide guidance to junior paralegals and legal assistants as needed.\nOther tasks and responsibilities as assigned.\nPreferred Qualifications:\n7+ Years’ Experience.\nBachelor’s Degree Required.\nParalegal certificate from an ABA-approved program.\nPrior experience as a Litigation Paralegal in a large law firm, with expertise in Securities Litigation, Class Actions, AI, Privacy, Cybersecurity, Data Innovation, White Collar, and/or IP law.\nUnderstanding of common litigation practices, procedures, regulations, and workflow.\nProficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe.\nProficiency in Lexis Nexis and Westlaw.\nProficient in iManage.\nExperience with eDiscovery Databases such as Relativity, Opus 2, and CaseMap.\nExcellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.\nFlexible and able to multi-task, balancing priorities and tight deadlines.\nProactive and able to handle efficiently handle multiple projects and client matters simultaneously.\nMust possess strong written and verbal communication skills.\nSuperior analytical and reasoning abilities.\nPrepares and timely submits timekeeping reports.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team, with members across multiple offices.\nMust be able to work overtime as needed and work at least 4 days a week in-person.\nAvailable to travel as needed.\nExperience:\nThe successful candidate must have a four-year degree, a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program, and a minimum of seven years of relevant work experience.\nThis position will require the ability to support complex litigation cases from beginning to end.\nGibson Dunn will consider for employment qualified Applicants with Criminal Histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of local law.\nCompensation & Benefits:\nThe annual compensation range for this position is $120-160k.
