This position supports the Operations team for facility LOTO’s, primary contact for preparing equipment for maintenance, Operations commissioning representative for new projects and assists with details to support timely follow-up and resolution.\nAssist with developing and updating terminal operating procedures to support consistent work practices aligned with Gibson Energy standards.\nSupport lockout/tagout (LOTO) and permitting activities, equipment drain-downs and flood-ups, commissioning, and related operator training.\nAssist with coordinating and executing projects, working with the Operations, Maintenance, and Project teams to align activities with terminal operating requirements.\nProvide terminal operations training to new and existing employees, reinforcing operating procedures and supporting consistent application of work practices.\nEnsure equipment and terminal issues are documented in Maximo and/or communicated to the appropriate personnel to support maintenance planning and follow-up.\nCoordinate the scheduling of construction and maintenance work to minimize disruption to terminal operations.\nParticipate in planning, scheduling, and executing routine work and turnarounds to support regulatory compliance and asset integrity requirements.\nAct as the primary Operations contact for maintenance coordination, ensuring equipment preparation follows the safe work permit process and hazardous energy isolation standards.\nParticipate in and adhere to the Management of Change (MOC) process, contributing operational input on proposed changes to equipment, processes, and procedures.\nCoordinate communication between Maintenance and Project teams to align work activities, clarify operational requirements, and support effective handoffs.\nDevelop and update SSOPs to document terminal operating activities and support consistent execution of work.\nManage the administration and tracking of Operations training, maintaining records of completed training and identifying outstanding requirements.\nProvide day-to-day field operations support, assisting with operational activities and communicating issues that require additional coordination or follow-up.\nCoordinate work packages for project and maintenance activities, bringing together the operational requirements and supporting documentation needed for execution.\nSupport Operations commissioning activities for new projects, coordinating with project and maintenance personnel to prepare equipment for operation.\nEscalate operational concerns, unresolved issues, and matters requiring leadership direction to the appropriate leader in a timely manner.\nParticipate in Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) reviews, providing operational input to help identify hazards and assess proposed operating arrangements.\nDemonstrates a personal commitment and proactive approach to Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) through participation in all applicable EH&S programs and ensures safe operation of the branch, team or unit and compliance with all Company EH&S policies and procedures. \nMay perform other duties as assigned.\nWho You Are\n5+ years of experience in an oil and gas terminal operation.\nA 4th Class Power Engineering certificate is considered an asset.\nUnderstanding of pipeline hydraulics, line balance, and batch tracking.\nValid class 5 Alberta driver’s license.\nFully knowledgeable with all terminal operating systems and procedures, control system and all associated paperwork.\nProficient in the use of PC’s and software including Microsoft office applications including Excel and Word\nProactive and self-motivated, with the initiative to take ownership, run with responsibilities, and follow through.\nStrong relationship and customer-service skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.\nCurious and improvement focused, with an eagerness to learn, grow, and continuously look for better ways of working.\nWorking Conditions\nField based position with minimal travel to other operating sites or Calgary head office.\nMost of the work is performed in a field environment.\nWork involves hands-on support of active operations and maintenance in an outdoor environment\nMust be available to support outside normal work hours and on-call
