The student will also have the opportunity to learn about Gibson Energy's Operations Management System (OMS) and will be involved in the documentation function relating to OMS.\nWhat You Will Do\nEnsures personal safety and follow safe operating procedures for facility.\nMaintains current safety training and certification.\nIs familiar with and follow all Gibson’s HH&S manuals and policies.\nEnsures adherence to quality standards.\nDemonstrates competency and follow maintenance procedures.\nCompletes general upkeep, routine, and regularly scheduled maintenance of facilities.\nReports problems to Supervisor.\nPerforms routine building maintenance.\nDemonstrates a personal commitment and proactive approach to Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) through participation in all applicable EH&S programs and ensures safe operation of the branch, team or unit and compliance with all Company EH&S policies and procedures.\nMay perform other duties as assigned.\nWhat You Bring to the Role\nCurrently enrolled in post-secondary education.\nStrong MS Excel and Word skills.\nValid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License.\nHas strong mechanical aptitude.\nKnowledge or previous summer work experience in the petroleum industry would be an asset.\nA motivated team player, capable of managing several concurrent and varied projects.\nA quick learner who approaches all projects with a sense of urgency.\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills.\nWork well independently and work with minimal supervision.\nWork with external and internal customers in a courteous and timely manner.\nWilling to work in and contribute to a team environment.\nWorking Conditions\nThis job is subject to background checks as outlined in Gibson Energy’s Background Checks policy.
