As a leading global long-term investor, we Work at the Point of Impact for Singapore’s financial future, and the communities we invest in worldwide.\nHuman Resource & Organization Department\nWe drive GIC’s talent strategies, and shape the organisational culture to sustain GIC’s long-term performance.\nPeople Operations & Advisory (POA)\nYou will advise and support recruitment, employee life cycle activities, mobility, payroll, and benefits related matters by designing and implementing simple, and efficient systems and processes.\nWhat impact can you make in this role?\nYou will be part of a team that champions the people agenda for GIC.\nWe are looking for a suitable Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join the POA team as an Associate / Assistant Vice President (Contract) for a 12-month duration.\nWhat will you do as an Associate/AVP, Payroll & Benefits Specialist (Contract)?\nManage and administer the payroll for the Singapore Office independently\nSupport and administer the benefit program for Singapore, including the time-off system.\nManage and liaise with the statutory boards (where required) to process the childcare leave, NS leave claims etc\nResponse to queries from staff on payroll and benefit related matters.\nBuild positive relationships with team members and stakeholders (for eg the Reward policy team, HR Business Partners), collaborate with them to develop solutions for policy implementation.\nParticipate in adhoc HR projects and other related assignments, which include annual HR activities annual salary and bonus reviews, performance appraisal exercises.\nIdeate, design and drive process improvements and automation to achieve operational excellence.\nWhat qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?\nDegree in any discipline, with at least 5 years of relevant work experience in administering payroll and benefit program.\nCommitment to teamwork and excellence.\nDemonstrated ability to multi-task and respond to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment.\nAbility to maintain confidentiality, integrity and professionalism in all aspects.\nPossess strong customer focus attitude.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders.\nStrong organisational skills and attention to detail is a must.\nStrong follow-through and ownership over tasks and issues.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrates initiative and resourcefulness.\nExcellence knowledge in using Microsoft suite of applications, in particular Excel, as well as HR-related systems.\nPrior experience in a HR payroll and/ or SuccessFactors system is an added advantage.\nWork at the Point of Impact\nWe need to be forward-looking to attract the right people to help us become the Leading Global Long-term Investor.
