This role serves as the senior technical escalation point for the outsourced Level 2 operations team, delivering operational excellence across Windows infrastructure, virtualisation, identity, and platform service.\nYou will beresponsible for operating, troubleshooting, and improving enterprise Windows Server environments, supporting major upgrades and migrations, driving automation, and maintaining secure, resilient operations within a regulated financial environment.\nThe role includes participation in an on-call roster and scheduled after-hours maintenance activities.\nWhat will you do as an AVP, Windows & Private Cloud Operations?\nProvide Level 3 support for complex incidents, problem management, and root cause analysis across the Windows and private cloud environment.\nAdminister Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, PKI, SCCM/MECM, SCOM, VMware, Nutanix/vSAN, Citrix, Failover Clustering, and secure file transfer platforms.\nExecute Windows Server lifecycle activities, including major OS upgrades, migrations, patching, and platform refreshes.\nSupport VMware private cloud operations, virtualisation, high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and resilience testing.\nWork with the outsourced L2 service provider by providing technical guidance, knowledge transfer, and operational runbooks.\nManage incidents, problems, and changes through ServiceNow, ensuring compliance with governance and audit requirements.\nImplement Windows security standards, identity controls, privileged access, and vulnerability remediation in partnership with Cybersecurity teams.\nDevelop automation using PowerShell and Ansible to improve operational efficiency and consistency.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives, platform standardisation, and technology enhancements.\nWhat qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.\n6-9 years' hands-on experience supporting enterprise Windows Server infrastructure with strong engineering and troubleshooting expertise.\nProven experience planning and executing Windows Server upgrades and migration programmes\nStrong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, PKI, SCCM, SCOM, Failover Clustering, VMware, Nutanix/vSAN, Citrix, and PowerShell.\nExperience supporting backup, disaster recovery, ITSM, ServiceNow, change management, and enterprise operations.\nFamiliarity with automation (PowerShell/Ansible), CIS/NIST security standards, and public cloud (AWS/Azure) is advantageous.• Experience supporting outsourced or managed service providers and willingness to participate in on-call support.\nPreferred CertificationsMicrosoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate\nMicrosoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate\nVMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV)\nCitrix Certified Associate - Virtualization\n• ITIL Foundation\n\nWork at the Point of Impact\nWe need to be forward-looking to attract the right people to help us become the Leading Global Long-term Investor.
