You will be part of the GIC’s internal investment function where we award investment directives to external fund managers whose ability complements our own capabilities. The Equities team in External Managers oversees equity hedge strategies and benchmark relative portfolios across various geographies globally.\nYou will be given the opportunity to partner with outstanding investment managers to capture market opportunities around the world. Our investment discussions reflect an outstanding flow of ideas and insights that can only come with our scale and reach. We also develop strategic relationships with the investment industry to benefit GIC at large.\nWhat will you do as an Equities Portfolio Manager with External Managers?\nConduct fund manager due diligence, selection, monitoring, and portfolio construction.\nPerform quantitative and qualitative analyses on investments, strategies, and market dynamics.\nDiligence idiosyncratic or tactical market opportunities and co-investments.\nHelp manage portfolios of hedge fund and long-only managers, and source ideas from those exchanges.\nWhat qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?\n5-12 years of equities experience in an analytical role, on the buy-side or sell-side, or similar.\nExcellent analytical ability and intellectual curiosity.\nExceptional team player who is also comfortable working independently.\nStrong communication skills.\nStrong academic credentials.\nWork at the Point of Impact\nWe need to be forward-looking to attract the right people to help us become the Leading Global Long-term Investor. We strive to provide a competitive compensation package to attract and retain talent globally. We pay for performance, and reward sustainable results.\nTotal pay for this position comprises base pay and bonus. The anticipated base salary range for this role is between $150,000 and $210,000.
