You'll work on real-time conversational UI, streaming AI responses, smooth animations, offline support, and a polished user experience that rivals the best chat apps on the market.\nThis is a hands-on engineering role where you'll collaborate closely with backend engineers, UI/UX designers, and the product team to ship features that directly impact how users interact with AI.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain a high-performance cross-platform AI chat application using React Native for Android and iOS.\nBuild smooth, responsive chat UI components - message lists, streaming text rendering, markdown/rich content display, voice input, and animations.\nImplement real-time streaming API responses (SSE/WebSocket) for live AI-generated content with optimistic UI updates.\nIntegrate RESTful APIs and real-time services; handle edge cases like network interruptions, retries, and offline scenarios.\nImplement local data persistence for conversation history and offline support (e.g., SQLite, WatermelonDB, MMKV, or AsyncStorage).\nManage application state using modern state management (Redux, Zustand, Context API, or similar).\nOptimize for performance, responsiveness, and battery efficiency - smooth scrolling, fast cold starts, minimal re-renders.\nIntegrate push notifications, deep linking, and analytics.\nEnsure data security and privacy best practices for user conversation data (secure storage, encryption, token management).\nCollaborate with UI/UX designers, backend engineers, QA engineers, and product teams in an agile environment.\nDebug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues across both Android and iOS platforms.\nParticipate in code reviews and maintain high coding standards.\nWrite technical documentation and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.\n Required Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).\n3+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 1.5+ years of hands-on React Native experience.\nStrong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.\nDeep understanding of React Native, React Hooks, and modern React patterns.\nExperience building chat or real-time messaging UIs (or similar complex list/scroll-heavy interfaces).\nExperience integrating REST APIs and real-time data (SSE, WebSocket, or similar).\nSolid experience with React Navigation and deep linking.\nExperience with state management (Redux, Zustand, Context API, or similar).\nUnderstanding of local persistence and offline-first patterns.\nProficiency with Git version control and collaborative workflows (branches, PRs, code reviews).\nExperience with npm or Yarn for dependency management.\nGood understanding of Android and iOS application lifecycle, permissions, and platform-specific configurations.\nStrong problem-solving and debugging skills across both platforms.\nAbility to work collaboratively in an agile development environment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience publishing applications to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store (including handling store reviews, signing, and provisioning).\nKnowledge of native Android (Kotlin/Java) or iOS (Swift) development for writing custom native modules or bridging.\nExperience with push notifications, analytics, and mobile security best practices.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines for mobile application deployment (e.g., Fastlane, EAS, GitHub Actions).\nExperience writing unit and integration tests (Jest, React Native Testing Library, Detox).\nFamiliarity with AI/LLM concepts -
