In this role, they will lead board-level hardware design, bring-up, and validation activities while contributing to system architecture and functional specifications. They will also partner closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineering, product operations, product management, software, and manufacturing, to deliver reliable, high-performance products. This position plays a key role in supporting new product development, sustaining existing platforms, and driving successful execution with manufacturing and JDM/ODM/OEM partners.\nWhat you’ll do:\nDefine high-level system design specifications and create hardware functional specifications.\n\nDesign, bring up, and validate board-level digital circuits for networking, embedded, and optical products.\n\nDevelop CPLD and glue logic using Verilog RTL.\n\nCollaborate with mechanical engineering on mechanical and thermal solutions, as well as system assembly and integration.\n\nPartner with product operations and product management teams to support product development and delivery.\n\nDrive the qualification of new optical components and sustain existing optical solutions, including transceivers and passive splitters.\n\nLead the design of new hardware products and support sustaining engineering for existing products.\n\nSelect and qualify components to meet product performance, quality, and reliability requirements.\n\nCoordinate prototype builds and validation activities with contract manufacturers and JDM/ODM/OEM partners.\n\nSupport critical customer escalations related to hardware performance and product issues.\n\nManage environmental and compliance testing, certifications, and reports, and assist customers with compliance-related requests.\n\nWhat you’ve done:\nEarned a BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent field.\n\nBuilt 10+ years of design experience in networking products, embedded systems, or optical products.\n\nDeveloped expertise in high-speed board design, including signal integrity and power integrity considerations.\n\nGained experience designing low-noise, high-efficiency onboard power regulators.\n\nDemonstrated hands-on experience with Verilog RTL development.\n\nApplied strong board-level debug and validation skills in complex hardware environments.\n\nUsed lab test equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers for design validation and troubleshooting.\n\nWritten product specifications, test plans, and test procedures to support development and qualification.\n\nWorked effectively with cross-functional teams, including software, manufacturing, and product stakeholders.\n\nWho you are:\nA strong problem solver who can identify issues, gather data, and draw sound conclusions.\n\nHighly organized and able to prioritize multiple responsibilities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\n\nA collaborative teammate who works effectively across global and cross-functional teams.\n\nComfortable operating in a dynamic environment with a high degree of ownership and accountability.\n\nFocused on delivering high-quality hardware solutions that support both customer needs and business objectives.\n\nAs an equal opportunity employer, all applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, national origin, age, sexual orientation, disability, veteran status, genetic information, or any other protected characteristic under applicable federal, state, and/or local law.
