You will protect and promote the interests of both Gilbane and the client in all matters as well as demonstrating the personal characteristics of a developing leader.\nResponsibilities\nPartners with other Engineers, Project Managers and/or Superientdents to coordinate and distribute all project information\nWorks with the project team to ensure all contract documents, including logs are up to date in real time\nEnsures status reports on RFIs, submittals and other documents are prepared and presented\nCreates PCIs in CMiC, issues RFQs and reviews quotes from trades, assists in preparation of ATP and OCOS\nParticipates in reviewing scopes of work for bid packages\nMaintains the Material Equipment Status Report\nDevelops the submittal register\nPrepares change management reports, estimates and other cost report documents\nConducts and manages quality control activities; ensures activities are documented properly and corrective action occurs, when necessary\nReviews contractors' startup documents (safety startup submittals, contract compliance, etc.)\nWorks with Lead Superintendent for trade contractor responsibilities throughout project\nEnforces Gilbane’s high safety standards \nManages and performs weekly safety inspections \nParticipates in Schedule Updates and Pull Plans\nWorks collaboratively with field team to ensure milestone dates are met \nCoordinates and manages general conditions work and project logistics \nCommunicates with Trade Contractors and AE on field and QAQC related questions\nPrepares and contributes to daily reports \nProvides input and suggestions for trade contractor weekly meetings \nCommunicates with Site Services/ Next150, orders material, and understands workforce needs, ensures clean jobsite\nAssists with Time and Materials (T&M) process\nParticipates in stretch and flex, daily huddle, and reviews pre-task plans\nMay be required to assist with tasks typically assigned to more junior positions\nPromotes organizational change initiatives, suggests new ideas, and continuously adapts to work within new structures and processes\nQualifications\nEXPERIENCE/EDUCATION\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management\n1-2 years of experience or internships with a construction organization\nOr equivalent combination of education and experience \nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES\nSome knowledge of commercial/institutional construction project\nExcellent problem solving skills and ability to adapt to changing needs\nKnowledge of Procore\nGood capabilities in Microsoft Office programs\nStrong technical and communication skills are critical\nOSHA 30 hour certification required\nFirst Aid, CPR Trained\nConstruction-document and drawing literate \nAbility to work in a team environment\nGilbane offers an excellent total compensation package which includes competitive health and welfare benefits and a generous profit-sharing/401k plan.
