Monitor overall performance of projects cradle to grave, including:\nImplement and drive risk management strategies, track status and see through to resolution \nDevelop mitigation plans when needed \nOversee claims and litigation \nImplement effective project review process \nEnsure Risk Assessment Forms are updated by PX's quarterly \nLead by example as PX (pending needs and scale of business) \nServe as PX when necessary on challenging projects \nEnlist support as necessary to ensure success of operations within the Business Unit or Division \nEnsure that Gilbane's operational policies, including playbooks, are consistently followed on all projects \n2. Manage (aligned with Operations Peer Groups) and ensure that Gilbane's operational policies,?including non-negotiables, are consistently followed on all projects per the Baseline.\n3. Control and administer the \"people resources\" including:\nRecruiting and hiring \nLong and short-range staff planning of assignments and transfers \nManaging Recoveries \nMentoring, coaching and developing all employees, including career development for emerging leaders \nProactively manage performance/terminations \nEnsure that employees complete required training on time \nEnsure that the appraisal process is completed on time and that managers are having meaningful development conversations \nReview and recommend appropriate compensation and incentive payouts for STI and PPI \n4. Model efforts for Gilbane Cares, Inclusion & Diversity and Gilbane Core Values:\nResponsible for Project Execution of Safety Requirements in collaboration with Safety Director/PX \nDemonstrate leadership in supporting company ERGs (Employee Resource Groups) \n5. Additional responsibilities include the following:\nUnderstand local competitive landscape, including knowing the competition and having a strategic sense of how to position Gilbane \nParticipate in pre/post award activities including go-no-go\" process, kick off meetings, fee-pro reviews, contract reviews, GMP development, contract negotiations \nParticipate in Peer Group of Operations Managers within Gilbane to improve operations as necessary \nEngage in construction community to understand \"best practices\" and introduce to Gilbane for continuous improvement \nPartners with business development to ensure seamless integration with sales strategies, client capture plans and account plans. Optimizes profit levers and gross profit margin tactics to achieve performance targets on new sales. Leads opportunities to strengthen client, partner, and industry relationships that help position Gilbane as the ”Builder of Choice”\nQualifications\nEXPERIENCE/EDUCATION\nBS or MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred \n15+ years relevant experience \nOr equivalent combination of education and experience \nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES\nStrong Technical and Communication skills are critical \nAbility to work in a team environment \nLeadership and management skills \nFinancial management and business acumen skills \nSalary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.\nFor Cleveland, OH, this ranges from $185,000 - $290,000 plus benefits and retirement program.\nGilbane offers an excellent total compensation package which includes competitive health and welfare benefits and a generous profit-sharing/401k plan.
