You will protect and promote the interests of both Gilbane and the client in all matters as well as demonstrating the personal characteristics of a developing leader.\nResponsibilities\nAssure all project-related work plans and project-specific documents necessary for performing project QC activities are onsite\nReview subcontractor quality plans for compliance to requirements\nInspect work conformance to contract and design documents\nUnderstand drawings and specifications\nImplement the Three Phase Control System\nDevelop daily quality control reports, prepare and issue detailed meeting minutes, and assist with post construction reports\nUse Submittal Register to track and assure required materials are approved in a timely manner.\nManage in-depth technical reviews of submittals against design documents\nProactively initiate deficiencies and non-conformances documentation, and monitor and verify corrective actions\nStop work if necessary to resolve matters that affect safety, quality or non-compliance with design documents\nVerify materials received are same as those identified in approved submittals and complete material receipt inspection checklists\nCoordinate, witness, and document 3rd Party testing, special inspections, and commissioning of building systems\nDocument all tests and results\nCoordinate and document completion inspection process\nManage a timely project closeout to include compilation and turnover of all required documents\nCoaches and mentors less experienced team members \nSupports a positive and inclusive work environment \nCollaborates closely with business development to ensure seamless integration with sales strategies including performance metrics on your assigned projects, pursuits, and client deliverables. Actively participates in opportunities to strengthen client, partner, and industry relationships that position Gilbane as the “Builder of Choice”.\nQualifications\nEXPERIENCE/EDUCATION\nBS or MS degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management, or CMAA Certification\n7+ years of DoD construction experience, including firm-fixed price design-build construction; 5 years as QC Manager. Large project experience ($50M to $100M) very helpful.\nDoD design-build experience preferred\nUSACE/NAVFAC Construction Quality Management for Contractors training certification required (or have the ability to quickly attain this)\nStrong Microsoft Word and Excel user\nCMAA Certification preferred\nOr equivalent combination of education and experience\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES\nStrong verbal and written skills\nAbility to work in a team environment\nSkilled using Microsoft Word and Excel; USACE QCS a plus\nGilbane offers an excellent total compensation package which includes competitive health and welfare benefits and a generous profit-sharing/401k plan.
