This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations by the project team, employees, and subcontractors, while overseeing onsite safety personnel. Plan for and support development of individual skills and abilities.\nResponsibilities\nSupports all safety efforts on the project and promotes the Gilbane Cares safety culture\nEnsures contractor activities are preplanned for safety through scope review, preconstruction meetings, JHA review, STAs, etc.\nEnsures contractors meet Gilbane safety submittal requirements\nEnsures contractor compliance with Gilbane safety plan & expectations\nMaintains all safety related documentation\nMakes recommendations concerning situations hazardous to employee safety or health\nUtilizes SafetyNet to Audit and monitor project team implementation of the Safety Plan\nPerforms at least 15 SafetyNet inspections per month with at least 100 observations in each inspection\nProvides and analyzes SafetyNet trending reports with project team and develops action plans\nCoaches project team in effective hazard identification and correction of issues using SafetyNet\nInvestigates all accidents/near misses and complete all paperwork required\nEnsures project teams have safety equipment and resources\nServes as project liaison and manages project correspondence with Insurance carriers\nProvides safety training to project teams on Gilbane, client, and OSHA requirements\nTrains direct reports on processes, procedures, and completion of daily tasks\nManages workload and performance of direct reports, ensuring alignment with overall company standards\nFosters a positive and inclusive work environment to motivate and engage team members\nAids in communicating company and department strategy to direct reports\nCollaborates closely with business development to ensure seamless integration with sales strategies including performance metrics on your assigned projects, pursuits, and client deliverables. Actively participates in opportunities to strengthen client, partner, and industry relationships that position Gilbane as the “Builder of Choice”\nQualifications\nEXPERIENCE/EDUCATION\nBachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety Management or Engineering preferred\n4-6 years of construction safety management experience\nBCSP credential\nCertified and authorized instructor by GU and OSHA to teach safety courses to employees and contractors\nOr equivalent combination of education and experience\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES\nComprehensive knowledge of construction safety and health principles, techniques, methods, regulations, and interpretations\nCapable of identifying current and future potential exposures and recommending corrective action\nStrong computer skills and familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nDeveloping management and leadership skills\nSalary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.\nFor (Missouri) this ranges from $95,000-$120,000 plus benefits and retirement program.\nNext 150 Construction Services has an unwavering focus on safety, the environment and caring about everyone involved in our work. \nQualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.\nNext 150 Construction Services is not accepting unsolicited resumes from third party recruiters at this time.\nNext 150 Construction Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
