Join Kite and help create more tomorrows.\nJob Description\nWe are seeking a Director, Global Value & Access Strategy (GVAS), Cell-therapy Autoimmune. This role reports to the Senior Director, GVA Lead, Lymphoma, Autoimmune and Solid Tumors/Pipeline.\nThis role will be office-based/hybrid (3 days onsite) in El Segundo or Thousand Oaks or Foster City, CA.\nIn this position, you will be a critical Global Value & Access partner for Kite's growing autoimmune cell therapy portfolio. You will lead the development and execution of global market access strategies to support early and late-stage development programs, while preparing for future launches of transformative cell therapies across autoimmune diseases.\nYou will work closely with Global Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, HEOR/RWE, Commercial, Regulatory Affairs and regional Access teams to ensure payer perspectives are incorporated into development decisions and launch planning. You will play a key role in shaping evidence generation strategies that support differentiated value propositions, reimbursement, and patient access across major global markets.\nKey Responsibilities\nStrategic Market Access Leadership\nServe as the Global Market Access representative for assigned autoimmune programs and contribute to cross-functional conversations.\nIn the Value Access Sub-Team, you will be leading and partnering with the Global and Regional functions of Value Access, HEOR/RWE and commercial to ensure efficient integration of Access input into the Portfolio Strategy.\nLead the development of global value and access strategies across the product lifecycle, from early development through launch and lifecycle management.\nEnsure payer, HTA, and health system perspectives are reflected in development, evidence generation, pricing, and commercialization strategies.\nPartner with regional and country access teams to develop integrated global-to-local reimbursement strategies.\nAsset Development and Evidence Generation\nAnalyze market access trends, evolving reimbursement requirements, competitive dynamics, and health system considerations across major markets including the US, EU5, Canada, Australia, and Japan.\nProvide market access input into target product profiles, clinical development plans, endpoint selection, comparator strategy, study design, and evidence generation plans.\nAdvise development teams on evidence requirements needed to support future reimbursement, pricing, and formulary access decisions.\nEnsure access-relevant considerations are incorporated into development milestones and governance decisions.\nValue Demonstration and HEOR Partnership\nPartner with Clinical, HEOR, RWE and Medical Affairs to develop and execute early payer engagement and HTA scientific advice strategies across multiple autoimmune indications, ensuring payer perspectives are incorporated into evidence generation and development plans.\nProvide strategic leadership on US market access dynamics across autoimmune indications, including payer formulary management, utilization management (e.g., step edits and prior authorization), and rebate contracting strategies, ensuring these considerations are proactively incorporated into development, evidence generation, pricing, and launch planning.\nLead cross-functional assessment of payer, HTA, and health system evidence requirements across key global markets, translating insights into actionable recommendations for clinical development programs.\nAssess the access implications of development opportunities across autoimmune indications and advise governance teams on the likelihood of achieving favorable pricing, reimbursement, and patient access outcomes.\nPartner with HEOR, RWE, Medical Affairs, and Commercial teams to develop compelling value propositions and evidence packages.\nAdvise on the development of economic models, burden-of-illness studies, indirect treatment comparisons, and other payer-focused evidence.\nCross-Functional Leadership\nAct as the market access lead within cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment across Development, Medical Affairs, Commercial, Regulatory Affairs, Pricing, and HEOR.\nInfluence strategic decisions through robust assessment of payer expectations, reimbursement risks, and value opportunities.\nBasic Qualifications\n8+ years with a PhD/ PharmD\nOR\n10+ years with MS/MA, MBA, PharmD, PhD or equivalent advanced degree\nOR\n12+ years with BS/BA\nPreferred Qualifications\n3+ years of direct experience supporting autoimmune disease programs, including development-stage assets, clinical strategy, market access, medical affairs, commercial strategy, or related functions.\nDeep understanding of autoimmune disease treatment paradigms, competitive dynamics, and unmet patient needs.\nExperience in advanced therapies, including cell therapy and/or gene therapy, strongly preferred.\nExperience supporting market access, pricing, reimbursement, HEOR, commercial strategy, or related functions within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.\nExperience supporting early and/or late-stage development programs and translating payer insights into development decisions.\nDemonstrated experience incorporating payer, HTA, and health system requirements into clinical development and evidence generation strategies.\nExperience supporting launch readiness activities, global launch planning, and lifecycle management.\nStrong understanding of global payer, pricing, reimbursement, and HTA landscapes.\nExperience partnering with HEOR, RWE, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, and Commercial functions to develop value evidence strategies.\nUnderstanding of value frameworks, reimbursement pathways, and evidence requirements across major global markets.\nDemonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.\nStrong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication skills and experience presenting to senior leadership.\nProven ability to collaborate
