Join Gilead and help create possible, together.\nJob Description\nThe Manager, Integration Management Office (IMO) and Alliance Operations is responsible for operational excellence, governance, capability development, and continuous improvement supporting Gilead's integration and alliance management activities. This role serves as the operational backbone for both the Integration Management Office and the Alliance Management function, ensuring consistent governance, disciplined execution, effective portfolio oversight, and enterprise-wide knowledge management across M&A acquisitions, divestitures, strategic partnerships, collaborations, and alliance portfolios.\nThe position enables Gilead to execute transactions and partnerships more effectively by establishing standardized operating models, tools, reporting frameworks, and best practices, while building organizational capabilities that improve decision-making, value realization, risk management, and cross-functional alignment. Unlike transaction-specific integration leaders or alliance managers who focus on individual deals or partnerships, this role builds and operates the enterprise infrastructure, governance, and capabilities that support successful integration and alliance outcomes across the organization. For the right person, this role will be considered a stepping stone to becoming an Alliance Manager in the future.\nAs a Manager, Integration Management Office (IMO) and Alliance Operations, at Gilead you will...\nEnterprise Governance & Operational Excellence\nLead and continuously enhance the operating model for the Integration Management Office and Alliance Management organization.\nEstablish and maintain standardized templates and reporting mechanisms\nSupport reporting requirements for the Executive Steering Committee (ESC), Governance Committees, and Gilead Leadership Team (GLT).\nDrive consistency and adoption of best practices across integration, alliances, and other strategic initiatives.\nIntegration & Alliance Capability Development\nServe as steward of Gilead's Integration Playbook, alliance management methodologies, operational standards, and tools.\nContinuously improve processes based on lessons learned, industry best practices, and organizational needs.\nStandardize approaches for governance, planning, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and performance reporting.\nDevelop and maintain reusable toolkits, templates, operating procedures, and training materials.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness and scalability.\n\nKnowledge Management & Enterprise Learning\nOwn the enterprise integration and alliance knowledge repository.\nOwn and maintain the Gilead Alliance Management Database (GAM), collaborating with functions across the enterprise on reporting, dashboards, and metrics.\nMaintain SharePoint sites, collaboration platforms, and centralized documentation.\nFacilitate lessons learned reviews following major integrations, alliance milestones, and key governance events.\nEnsure critical knowledge, decisions, best practices, and operating procedures are systematically documented and retained.\nDevelop and maintain best-practice libraries, playbooks, case studies, and training resources.\nPromote enterprise learning and operational excellence across Alliance Management and integration teams.\n\nMetrics, Analytics & Executive Reporting\nDevelop and maintain dashboards, key performance indicators (KPIs), and executive reporting for integration and alliance portfolios.\nMonitor organizational performance across key measures, including alliance health, governance effectiveness, milestone achievement, and implementation of lessons learned.\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor's Degree and Six Years' Experience\nOR\nMasters' Degree and Four Years' Experience\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPhD preferred \nPrior operational excellence, governance, and capability development within Alliance Management \nPrevious experience within contract management\nBackground in operations with a focus on business and system processes\nPrior experience in biotech/pharma industry\nStrong project management, collaboration, and reporting skills\nPeople Leader Accountabilities:\nCreate Inclusion - knowing the business value of diverse teams, modeling inclusion, and embedding the value of diversity in the way they manage their teams.\nDevelop Talent - understand the skills, experience, aspirations and potential of their employees and coach them on current performance and future potential. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
