Job Description

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Data Scientist for our Advanced Analytical Technologies team within the Analytical Development organization. The Data Scientist will research, develop, and operationalize advanced machine learning and statistical solutions that improve analytical development across Pharmaceutical Development and Manufacturing. This role will translate scientific and business challenges into scalable, data-driven applications spanning quantitative analytics, predictive modeling, computer vision, and other advanced computational methods. The individual will collaborate with lab scientists, data scientists, engineers, and project managers to deliver robust solutions, promote machine learning best practices, and strengthen a culture of data-driven decision-making.

KeyResponsibilities:

• Researchanddevelopmachinelearningalgorithms acrossquantitativeanalytics,computervision,predictiveanalytics,andadvancedstatisticalmodelingtoimprovepharmaceuticaldevelopmentandmanufacturingprocesses.
• Managethefullmachinelearningmodellifecycle,includingrequirementsgathering,exploratorydataanalysis,visualization,modeldevelopment,validation,deployment,monitoring,andcontinuousimprovement.
• Supportend-to-endalgorithmandapplicationdevelopment,includingsoftwarepackagedevelopment,computeenvironmentconfiguration,modelarchitecture,codereviews,testing,documentation,andoperationalization.
• Translatescientificandbusinesschallengesintopracticaldatasciencesolutions withmeasurabletechnical,scientific,andoperationaloutcomes.
• Applybestpracticesinmachinelearning,softwareengineering,reproducibility,andmodelgovernance toensuredeliverablesarereliable,scalable,maintainable,andhighquality.
• Collaboratewithmultidisciplinarytechnicalteams,includingdatasciencearchitects,dataengineers,analysts,projectmanagers,laboratoryscientists,andapplicationdevelopers.
• Partnerwithstakeholdersinanagileenvironment toscope,prioritize,plan,design,andexecuteartificialintelligenceandmachinelearningprojects.
• Workcross-functionallywithanalyticaldevelopment,manufacturing,IT,andtechnicaldevelopmentteams toadvanceAI-drivenapplicationsandimprovescientificandbusinessoutcomes.
• Promoteadata-drivenculture byencouragingquantitativedecision-making,supportingwell-designedexperiments,identifyingorganizationalcapabilitiesandneeds,andadvancingresponsibleAIadoption.
• Communicatecomplexanalysesandmodelresults throughclearreports,visualizations,presentations,andrecommendationstailoredtoscientificandcross-functionalaudiences.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’sdegreewithat least 4yearsofrelevantexperiencei nDataScience,ComputerScience,ArtificialIntelligence,MachineLearning,ComputationalBiology,Statistics,ChemicalEngineering,orarelateddiscipline.

OR

• Master’sdegreewith at least 2yearsofexperience inDataScience,ComputerScience,ArtificialIntelligence,MachineLearning,ComputationalBiology,Statistics,ChemicalEngineering,orarelateddiscipline.
• StrongPythonprogrammingskills,includingexperiencedevelopingmaintainable,reusable,documented,andwell-testedanalyticalormachinelearningcode.
• Advancedstatisticalandcomputationalmodelingexpertise,withtheabilitytoselect,develop,validate,interpret,andimprovemodelsforcomplexproblems.
• AdvancedproficiencywithPython-basedmachinelearningframeworksandlibraries.
• Experiencewithcomputervision,includingclassicalimage-processingmethodsanddeeplearningapproaches.
• Knowledgeofdatamodeling,architecture,pipelines,andinfrastructure requiredtodeployandoperationalizemachinelearningsolutions.
• Strongwritten,verbal,andvisualcommunicationskills,particularlywhenexplainingmodelperformance,limitations,findings,andrecommendations.
• Demonstratedcollaboration,problem-solving,andprojectexecutionskills withinmultidisciplinaryenvironments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experienceapplyingdatascienceormachinelearninginpharmaceuticaldevelopment,manufacturing,analyticalsciences,oranotherregulatedscientificenvironmentispreferred.
