Join Kite and help create more tomorrows.\nJob Description\nThe Technical Trainer at Kite is responsible for performing and coordinating all technical writing related activities for the Manufacturing group, including collaborations with key personnel in other departments to ensure proper implementation of Kite policies and procedures. This role develops training documentation using standard operating procedures, subject-matter expert input, and operational processes and delivers instructor-led and on-the-job training, including demonstrations, practice, and skills assessments. The Technical Trainer coordinates curricula, qualifications, learning resources, and training records in partnership with key stakeholders.\nThis position is based in Frederick, Maryland, and is fully onsite Monday through Friday.\nAs a Technical Trainer at Kite, you will...\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nDevelop and maintain training and procedural documentation using standard operating procedures, subject-matter expert input, and operational processes, including coordinating document review, approval, issuance, implementation, periodic review, and retirement.\nDeliver, document, and track instructor-led and on-the-job training, including demonstrations, practice sessions, and skills assessments, in accordance with applicable standard operating procedures.\nCreate hands-on simulations, presentations, and other learning materials covering procedures, job expectations, regulatory requirements, and manufacturing operations.\nCreate, update, and maintain curricula, employee qualifications, and associated training materials aligned with designated manufacturing job roles.\nLead or coordinate technical training facilitation and qualification activities.\nSchedule trainers, rooms, learning resources, and required training activities, including GMP, Human Resources, and Environmental Health and Safety training.\nMaintain training assignments, completion information, and other records within the Learning Management System.\nAlign standard operating procedures and other technical documents with instructor-led, computer-based, and on-the-job training materials.\nIncorporate feedback from subject-matter experts and procedural document teams to accurately document current and future processes.\nProvide regular updates to management on Manufacturing Training program activities, status, and initiatives.\nPrepare and communicate monthly Manufacturing training metrics.\nPerform compliance self-audits as required.\nSupport change controls, corrective and preventive actions, and deviations in collaboration with Site Manufacturing Technology and Manufacturing Science and Technology teams.\nManage multiple training and documentation assignments while identifying or escalating risks to timelines and deliverables.\nBasic Qualifications:\n\nBachelor's Degree and 2 years of relevant experience\nOR\nMaster's Degree and 0 years of relevant experience\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nExperience delivering instructor-led and hands-on training in a manufacturing, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical environment.\nExperience developing training documentation and learning materials from standard operating procedures, subject-matter expert input, and operational processes.\nExperience as a training coordinator, technical trainer, or technical writer in a cGMP manufacturing environment.\nKnowledge of cGMP requirements and their application within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or cell therapy manufacturing.\nExperience creating and revising curricula, qualifications, procedural documents, and training materials.\nExperience using a Learning Management System to support training assignments, records, and tracking activities.\nAbility to communicate technical information in a clear, concise, and accessible format.\nStrong facilitation and classroom presence skills, including the ability to redirect or manage challenging audiences during training.\nStrong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.\nAbility to mentor employees and provide practical guidance during training and qualification activities.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and work independently or collaboratively with minimal supervision.\nExperience supporting change controls, corrective and preventive actions, deviations, or compliance self-audits.\nExperience with electronic batch records, including PAS-X, and cell therapy manufacturing.\nProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.\nThe salary range for this position is: $80,325.00 - $103,950.00. Kite considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
