Come help us make learning better for everyone.\nWe're looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Graphics Technology group.\nWhat You’ll Do\nSolve difficult problems that feature soft real-time performance targets\nWork on a canvas with rich content including ink, images, pdfs, text, animation, and more\nDesign, code, test, debug, and modernize graphics systems that meet our high quality bar\nCollaborate with non-graphics engineers to leverage each platform's strengths\nCollaborate with design & product teams to dream big\nLeverage the GPU for maximum performance\nIdentify and avoid risks with new approaches\nParticipate in code reviews and provide guidance and mentorship on software development best practices\nCommunicate progress and risks to the team\nRead and understand research papers to implement new functionality\nBuild a product that our customers genuinely love!\nWhat You Need\n6+ years of experience with iOS graphics programming including Core Graphics or MetalKit\nExperience using the GPU to solve problems in 2D graphics\nExperience with resolution-independent graphics primitives and related mathematical concepts\nStrong computer science fundamentals and problem solving skills\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills\nAbility to deliver results in a fast-paced and collaborative environment\nPassionate about solutions while humble in the face of opposing ideas\nDesire to embrace the way engineering is changing (more immutable data, functional patterns, etc) while also being intensely pragmatic\nExperience with Bezier curves, CRDTs is a plus\nFor this position we are targeting a base pay between $160k-$250k. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.\nThis role follows a hybrid model, with a minimum of two days onsite at our downtown San Francisco office and flexibility to work remotely from home the rest of the week.\nHow We Work\nEach member of our team contributes to all parts of our products.
