Human by nature.\nPosition Purpose\nThe Scheduler is responsible for scheduling maintenance resources to maximize labor utilization, schedule compliance, and backlog effectiveness while ensuring alignment with production priorities and business objectives.\nYour Title: Schedule Planner\nYour Location: Cincinati, Ohio\nReporting to: Engineering and Maintenance Manager\nSalary Range Based on Experience: $68,000 - $85,000.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nScheduling\nDevelop weekly maintenance schedules.\n\nCoordinate daily schedule execution.\n\nBalance labor availability and work priorities.\n\nCoordinate shutdowns and outage schedules.\n\nBacklog Management\nMaintain backlog health and quality.\n\nMonitor work order aging.\n\nFacilitate prioritization processes.\n\nEnsure appropriate workflow progression.\n\nFacilitate weekly backlog review meetings.\n\nMaintain backlog priority integrity.\n\nEscalate aging work orders.\n\nContractor Coordination\nSchedule contractor activities.\n\nCoordinate access and plant support requirements.\n\nManage contractor schedule integration.\n\nContinuous Improvement & Compliance\nDevelop and maintain expertise in One Point Lessons (OPLs); train mechanics and maintenance leadership team members.\n\nMaintain at least one active improvement initiative (ZPM6 / Z09) aligned with role responsibilities.\n\nMonitor schedule breaks and identify systemic causes.\n\nReporting\nPublish scheduling and backlog metrics.\n\nMonitor workflow compliance.\n\nIdentify opportunities for work management improvement.\n\nScheduler Core Deliverables\nWeekly Schedule\n\nDaily Schedule\n\nBacklog Prioritization Report\n\nSchedule Compliance Report\n\nLabor Utilization Report\n\nWeekly Scheduling Meeting Agenda & Action Log\n\nSchedule Break Analysis Report\n\nAcademic Background\nVocational diploma in Technical engineering or related discipline (pre-university level).\nCertification required in forklift operation as well as in at least one of the following: pipefitting, welding, or pump, PLC, electrical, robotics or equipment repair.\nProfessional Experience\n3+ years with mechanical/electrical background in food or chemical related manufacturing environment.\nGivaudan takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, qualifications/certifications and education, and internal equity.\nAt Givaudan, you contribute to delightful taste and scent experiences that touch people’s lives.\nYou work within an inspiring teamwork culture - where you can thrive, collaborate and learn from other talented and passionate people across disciplines, regions and divisions.\nEvery essence of you enriches our world.\nDiversity of perspectives fuels innovation and fosters deeper connections with our employees, customers, and partners.
