Human by nature.\nPay Rate- $22.00 per hour\nSamples production in regional Headquarters Edison building\nPurpose of Position\nUnder general supervision, produces liquid flavoring compounds, questions any issues with materials or instructions, documents with Supervisor. Packages product for shipping.\nEssential Functions\nManually compounds “pours” in Manual Work Station to complete finished liquid flavors by following established procedures, and meeting quality standards. Basic knowledge of chemical handling and chemical hazards. Knowledge of basic laboratory procedures. Use of basic SAP inventory transactions. Understanding of GMP, Allergen, and Kosher guidelines, sanitation principles and practical application. Ability to use filter press equipment. Package products for shipment to customer following department specifications. Performs other duties as required, such as dispensing and material handling.\nMaintains accurate records of all work functions performed. Questions issues with raw materials, intermediates and finished flavors, including processing instructions, appearance, yield, etc., and addresses with Supervisor or Lead. Informs Supervisor or Lead and documents on batch sheet any issues, to ensure any changes to the formulas are documented and resolved.\nComplete job assignments in a safe and timely manner, working as part of the lab team to ensure all required requests are completed. Communicates problems to Supervisor or Lead. Participates in continual improvement projects.\nJob Specifications\nHigh school diploma is required; 1+ years of related experience, or 1+ years of experience with Polytechnic/Associates degree in related field.\nWorking knowledge of process equipment and controls, or other mechanical equipment is preferred.\nThe ability to read and understand written instructions in English and to write/record information in a neat and accurate manner is required.\nA working knowledge of basic math and a familiarity with U.S. and Metric weighing systems is required.\nBasic computer skills are required.\nKnowledge of chemical hazards and inventory control techniques are preferred. A working knowledge of compounding is preferred.\nAbility to work with moderate supervision and understand work prioritizations is required.\nRegular predictable attendance is essential to the position, as well as, overtime when deadlines require it.\nRoutinely lifts and handles up to 50 lbs.\nDemands include standing, lifting, stretching, lowering, raising, turning, and bending.\nThe ability to lift and lower product from floor or table top level, use a desktop personal computer and weigh on floor scales.\nComputers, scales, mixers, and filter equipment.
