Human by nature.\nThe warehouse supervisor is responsible for supervising daily warehouse operations or assigned shifts, ensuring that all activities related to shipping, receiving, inventory, and safety are executed efficiently, in line with established plans and procedures.\nIn this exciting role, you will:\nPlan the workload for the team with focus on load levelling to prevent overtime while ensuring customer service and process quality\n\nSupervise and lead warehouse staff by assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing training and development opportunities to enhance team skills.\n\nOversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with company policies for receiving, storing, and shipping products.\n\nReview customer orders and requisitions to prioritize work orders and dispatch tasks to the team.\n\nManage the reception of incoming materials, including batch recording, goods receipt issuance, labelling, and storage.\n\nEnsure accurate preparation of materials/products for shipment, aligning with customer order specifications.\n\nMonitor the loading, unloading, and staging of products in designated areas based on size, type, and other criteria.\n\nConduct physical inventories and cycle counts, ensuring proper stock rotation and maintaining accurate records in the warehouse management system.\n\nOversee the daily activities of the weigh room, sample room and tolling procedures.\n\nEnforce safety regulations and conduct regular audits and training to foster a culture of safety among staff, particularly regarding the use of forklifts and handling hazardous materials.\n\nOversee the maintenance of warehouse installations and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and operational safety, and report service requests as needed.\n\nAddress operational challenges promptly, resolving issues related to inventory discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, or staffing concerns.\n\nIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity within warehouse operations.\n\nServe as a liaison between warehouse staff and management, facilitating effective communication regarding operational needs and inventory status.\n\nWork with the local Logistics management team and HR Business Partner(s) in developing a local capability pipeline for the function.\n\nDrive the development and promotion of identified talents within and outside Logistics.\n\nExperience with Continuous Integration (CI) practices to streamline development workflows\n\nYour professional profile includes:\nVocational diploma in logistics\n\n3 to 5 years of experience in logistics in a manufacturing environment.\n\n1 to 2 years of experience in people management.\n\nStrong understanding of warehouse process flow.\n\nFamiliarity with shipping and receiving regulations and protocols.\n\nKnowledgeable about the transportation supplier landscape.\n\nWell-versed in material and product safety and security norms and regulations.\n\nProficient in inventory processes and tools, including SAP Warehouse Management System (WMS) capabilities.\n\nUnderstanding of supply chain dependencies and processes.\n\nKnowledgeable about production process flow and scheduling.\n\nOur Benefits:\nHoliday entitlement - 25 days and Bank Holidays\n\nLife Assurance and Income Protection\n\nHealth Insurance\n\nPension Scheme\n\nDiscounted Shopping Club\n\nCycle to Work Scheme\n\nEmployee Assistance Programme\n\nAccess to exclusive perfumes\n\nFree on-site parking\n\nAt Givaudan, you contribute to delightful taste and scent experiences that touch people’s lives.\nWe value the different perspectives that come from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and experiences.\nEveryone - regardless of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, culture, religion, or any personal circumstances - is warmly welcomed at Givaudan, a place where we all love to be and grow.\nEvery essence of you enriches our world.
