The Engineering Manager will work with the Sr Director, Engineering to provide the tools, systems and training for the Project Engineer to optimize their execution effectiveness. \nKey Responsibilities: \nOversee all aspects of the day-to-day management of projects, including stakeholder engagement, contractor management, site safety and budget management \nDelegate assignments, co-ordinate and monitor the work in progress of the engineering team. \nEnsure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to quality and safety standards \nCapital Forecasting and timely entry and close out of projects. \nProvide coaching and guidance to Engineering infrastructure team members to meet goals and help them reach their full potential. \nDevelop and monitor the process to ensure all equipment and work performed by or on behalf of Give & Go complies with all governing laws, practices, codes, and regulations \nProvide support to Operations & facilities team by the effective transition of fully functioning operating systems and equipment for all projects. Troubleshoot and implement potential solutions as required. \nRespond to internal and external information requests. Assist with establishing standards, policies and procedures that will improve the Engineering Department’s overall performance. \nEnsures that all projects drawings and standard specifications are updated when changes are made as a result of renovations, new additions or maintenance over time (i.e. building layouts, mechanical / electrical changes)\nActively live and role model our Leadership competencies by holding self and team (including all direct report ‘people leaders’) accountable for creating a positive work environment and culture through administration of our People Processes and Tools. \nPerformance Management: Ensure proper onboarding and development of all staff by completing induction process, coaching and developing capabilities, executing PDP start/mid-year dialogues, and engaging in corrective action when required \nTalent & Succession: Ensure job vacancies are filled by completing the required processes and representing the company with integrity throughout the recruitment process \nTraining: Ensure completion of function compliance training \nEngagement: Ensure an engaged workforce through development of sound working relationships and execution of Employee Survey action plans \nCompany Values (RDQAS): Ensure teams model our Company values and hold others accountable for the same \nDevelop and monitor the process to ensure all equipment and work performed by or on behalf of the company complies with all governing laws, practices, codes, and regulations \nProvide support to operations by the effective transition of fully functioning operating systems and equipment for all projects. Troubleshoot and implement potential solutions as required. \nRecipe for Success: \nCompletion of university degree in Engineering or a related field \nMinimum 8 years’ experience in Engineering, preferably in the Food Manufacturing industry \n+ 8 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with direct Project Management experience surrounding Infrastructure Engineering initiatives \nPrevious experience in leading a construction project above $10 million \nCompletion of P.Eng \nManagement of Construction Management companies in major complex infrastructure projects \nAbility to handle higher levels of autonomy and complexity. \nExcellent Leadership and critical thinking skills – capable of leading cross functional teams to achieve project goals. \nStrong communication and interpersonal skills – ability to influence all levels of the organization to achieve project goals. \nStrong analytical skills including troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills to effectively lead teams to quickly identify issues, causes and sustainable corrective actions \nAbility to hold others accountable and to manage confrontation. \nStrong ability to mentor and motivate staff. \nDiverse set of experience and capabilities to help Sr. Project Engineers and Engineering Managers to improve and grow. \nMust be able to handle fast paced environment with competing priorities and demands. \nMust have strong computer (MS Office) and project management skills\nWhat We Can Offer: \nIt’s an exciting time to be part of the Give & Go team as we are growing rapidly and want you to become a part our growth and extraordinarily bright future. \nAs we grow, we are committed to preserve the parts of our diversity & culture that is unique, people focused and are core to our success at every size.
