This is where you come in.\nGIZ’s Climate Cluster in Pretoria is looking for a graduate to join its Finance and Administration team for a six-month internship and to learn how the work behind the work gets done.\n\nWhat We Are Looking For\nA degree in Business Administration, Finance or Economics\nAcademic or internship experience in Office Administration or Project Management\nExcellent working knowledge of IT and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint\nVery good spoken and written English\nHigh attention to detail and precision\nThe ability to understand instructions quickly, ask for clarification when needed, adapt, and work independently to deliver on time\nThe motivation to work in a multicultural environment, and to be a good team player\nAn advantage: experience with knowledge and information management systems.\n\nWhat You Will Be Doing\nKeeping procurement, service contract and event files in order, and updating the procurement and invoice trackers, including the tracker that flags contract end dates\nAssisting with invoice checks, including monthly fleet invoices, payment follow-ups with the Country Office, and voucher preparation before bookings\nTaking minutes at meetings, supporting events and logistics, and preparing and formatting presentations\nSupporting the Internal Control preparations and administrative tasks linked to GIZ instruments, helping with inventory labelling and records, and carrying out other duties as directed by your line manager\n\nWorking with GIZ\n\nGermany works alongside the South African Government to tackle climate change, protect biodiversity and water resources, and involve young people, women and the private sector in the response.
