Whatever part you play you’ll be helping us deliver operational excellence to our customers.\nAt our GKN Filton site, we specialise in the design and manufacture of large complex structural wing assemblies, detailed metallic components and wing systems for a combination of both civil and military aircraft.\nWe are seeking a qualified level 2 PFD Operator to undertake non-destructive testing & penetrant processing inspection of components to identify surface defects.\nThe successful individual will be required to work on both manual and automated penetrant testing lines as part of a team of up to 16 PFD Operators within our IMF facility and need to be flexible as the role will involve working shifts across both our automatic and manual PFD plants.\nDay shifts (07:00am - 18:45pm) + 25% Shift Allowance\nWeek 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday\nWeek 2: Thursday, Friday\nHow You'll Contribute\nAccountable for recording value stream tasks within the site Risk Assessment Management tool with the risks being accurately recorded and controls put in place to help reduce the risk \nEnsure parts are produced on a ‘right first time’ basis \nEnsure that any calibrated equipment used is within date \nResponsible for the timely clearance of work phases using the SAP system \nResponsible for highlighting any non-conformance to the Process Team Leader \nAdhering to the requirements of the GKNAF Quality Procedures \nAccountable for Health & Safety requirements under Section 7 of the HASAWA 1974 \nTo hold first party inspection approval (M02 status is subject to obtaining A stamp approval) \nPerforming the tasks, learning, understanding and working to the governing specifications \nEnsure compliance with all risk assessments and company Environment, Health & Safety Procedures relevant to all work activities. Report all incidents, accidents and near misses as per the company’s procedure and implementation of identified corrective actions.
