Accountable for delivering robust, capable manufacturing process technology as it applies to materials, tooling, part fabrication and assembly.\nJob Responsibilities\nExemplifying a safety-first mind-set and ensuring compliance with the GKN Aerospace Health, Safety and Environmental policies and standards.\nTechnical expertise at a local project level in governance and deployment of manufacturing development and integration for production within GKN Aerospace.\nProvides technical expertise to rapidly solve issues pertaining to vendor schedule and/or quality.\nBreaks down technical problems, risk, opportunities, in the correct order to create products and add value to GKN Aerospace through creating Zero Defects\nLeads positive, team relationships with internal and external customers, as well as co-workers\nContinuously improve production processes by implementing Lean initiatives.\nProvide local project technical oversight for the creation, maintenance and continuous improvement of Program Quality Plans.\nImplement the global business processes to create root cause analysis, preventative and corrective action to eliminate non-conformances utilizing the GKN standard Zero Defect Manufacturing (ZDM) tool suite.\nLeading product development, customer quality requirements management and first article development.\nLeading supplier audits & assessments.\nJob Qualifications\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering\n2+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a Manufacturing environment, including Root cause methodologies experience, experience using inspection equipment and ability to read, write and comprehend blueprints\nMust be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder due to program security clearance requirements and/or SSA requirements.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nGKN Experience\nWorking knowledge of quality system models such as ISO9000, AS9100, or D1-9000\nAerospace experience is strongly preferred\nExperience in FAA Repair Station is a plus\nSix Sigma green belt certification or training\nExperience with auditing\nLiaison engineering experience preferred\nCustomer facing experience is a plus\nFabrication, machining, welding and assembly experience preferred\nTraining and/or experience in lean tools and techniques (Practical Problem Solving, A3, PFMEA and /or Fishbone diagrams)\nProject / Program Management\nFamiliarity with AS9145 APQP process or equivalent\nAbility to use test equipment and\nCAD and or various computer systems, Catia preferred\nAbility to communicate clearly and concisely\nFluent in English language, both written and spoken\nCompensation Range\nThe compensation range for this position is between $91,083-
