Whatever part you play you’ll be helping us deliver operational excellence to our customers.\nAt our GKN Filton site, we specialise in the design and manufacture of large complex structural wing assemblies, detailed metallic components and wing systems for a combination of both civil and military aircraft.\nWe have an new exciting and career defining opportunity for a Manufacturing Tooling Engineer to join the team.\nThe successful applicant will perform a variety of engineering duties in planning and modifying fixtures, tools and manufacturing processes.\nHow You'll Contribute\nWe're looking for someone with the ability to resolve production issues in a timely manner completing all documentation on assigned parts.\nAs well as:\nDevelop, evaluate, improve and documents Tooling processes\nDevelop and implement process control techniques including work instructions using tools such as SPC, PFMEA\nAnalyse Tooling process flows continually for the improvements of quality, cost reduction, lead-time reduction for new work\nCollaborate with other functions to ensure effective Tooling solutions\nCoordinate Tool inspection procedures with multifunctional teams\nAddress and document cause and corrective action issues to prevent future problem occurrences\nDetermine required material and tools to meet manufacturing demands \nWhat You'll Bring\nThe successful applicant will be proactive in their approach and seek out opportunity to contribute, the ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders is also an essential part of this role.\nIn addition, you'll need the following skills\nEssential:\nRelevant plant tooling experience \nProficient IT skills (ideally ERP system, Office packages etc)\nDesirable:\nTool making experience \nExperience in a similar role\nWhat We'll Offer\nOnce you’re on board you’ll get the following perks and benefits:\n⦁ Competitive salary dependent on experience\n⦁ Industry Leading Pension Scheme = we’ll match your contributions up to 8% on a 1 : 1.5 basis\n⦁ Life Assurance 8 x salary\n⦁ 175 hours annual leave + bank holidays\n⦁ Flexible working hours including the ability to finish 12:00pm on Friday\n⦁ Income protection\n⦁ Shopping discounts\n⦁ Cycle To Work Scheme\n⦁ Employee Assistance Programme\n⦁ Virtual GP Clinic for you and immediate family\n⦁ A collaborative, dynamic working environment\nAs well as a competitive package we’ll offer you a world of opportunity.
